\u00a0<strong>Distractions.<\/strong> They are everywhere; this world is full of them. \u00a0Sometimes I feel like Dory in \u201cFinding Nemo.\u201d \u00a0My focus flits from one shiny thing to another. \u00a0Then BOOM! &#8230;Not only am I in a battle to keep my focus on God but now I am caught up in a battle I never saw coming. \u00a0One I have no hope of winning on my own. \u00a0Classic David and Goliath. \u00a0But 1 Samuel 17:47 reminds me \u201cThis battle is the Lord\u2019s.\u201d \u00a0Exodus 14:14 (HCSB) tells me \u201cThe Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.\u201d \u00a0I love the passage in 2 Chronicles 20, specifically verses 12,15 &amp; 17 (HCSB &amp; AMP):<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u2026For we are powerless before this vast number that comes to fight against us.<br \/>\nWe do not know what to do, but we look to You<br \/>\n\u2026the Lord says: \u2018Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast number,<br \/>\nfor the battle is not yours, but God\u2019s\u2026You shall not need to fight in this battle;<br \/>\ntake your positions, stand still, and see the deliverance of the Lord [Who is] with you&#8230;<br \/>\nDo not be afraid or discouraged.<\/p>\n<p>I am powerless in these battles. \u00a0By myself I fall to pieces. \u00a0Yet, all I really need to do is be still because as Deuteronomy 31:8 (HCSB) states:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The Lord is the One who will go before you.<br \/>\nHe will be with you;<br \/>\nHe will not leave you or forsake you.<br \/>\nDo not be afraid or discouraged.<\/p>\n<p>And 1 Corinthians 1:25 (NIV) reassures me: \u201cFor the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.\u201d \u00a0In my weakness, His strength shines: \u00a0\u201cBut He said to me, \u2018My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness\u2019\u201d 2 Corinthians 12:9a (HCSB).<\/p>\n<p>All I really need to do is remember Jesus is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bigger than any battle I am facing<\/li>\n<li>Better than anything I\u2019ve been chasing<\/li>\n<li>The only hope for me<\/li>\n<li>He<em><strong> is<\/strong> <\/em>King of my heart!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"> * \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 \u2665 \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 \u271e \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 \u2665 \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 * <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Jesus, Thank You so much for being the King of my heart!
