Psalm 4:1
\nAnswer me when I call, O God of my righteousness!
\nYou have given me relief when I was in distress.
\nBe gracious to me and hear my prayer!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

When we are in distress, we call out to God. \u00a0We expect Him to answer us immediately. \u00a0As we walk through the pain and the anguish, we sometimes rant and rage at Him. \u00a0And that is okay. He is a big God. He can take whatever we can throw at Him. \u00a0As long as we are respectful, we can become angry.<\/p>\n

And sometimes we have to become like children and trust God will answer our prayers. \u00a0When we were children, most of us did not have to worry about where our food was coming from, we did not have to worry about a place to sleep, because it was there. \u00a0Our parents provided everything we needed. \u00a0Not what we wanted…but what we needed. \u00a0That is what they are supposed to do. \u00a0That is what our heavenly Father does for us as well.<\/p>\n

In the Bible it tells us of fathers who loved their sons. \u00a0It tells us those who have blindly trusted God. \u00a0It tells us of those who walked in faith what God would have them to do. \u00a0Scripture tells us of Abraham who left his father, took his wife and nephew, and moved away from all that he knew. \u00a0Just because God called to him. \u00a0But Abraham received a promise. \u00a0A promise to become a father of many.<\/p>\n

The Lord had said to Abram, \u201cGo from your country, your people
\nand your father\u2019s household to the land I will show you.
\nI will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you;
\nI will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.
\nI will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse;
\nand all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.
\nGenesis 12:1-3<\/p>\n

God, through Jesus His son, offers us a promise. \u00a0When we accept Jesus into our heart, and make Jesus Lord of our life, we have\u00a0eternity. \u00a0We\u00a0may not have an easy\u00a0life, but a life of great reward, a life rich with God’s blessings. \u00a0This past month, I was given a task of putting together a program for our Hallelujah\u00a0Hoedown at our church. It was a stretch for me, but I knew God had given me this opportunity to help me grow in my ability to lead and for me to become accountable. \u00a0I don’t have issues with delegating. \u00a0Nor do I have an issue with calling on those whom I know can do a job. \u00a0I just have to learn to lean on God more for everything…and I did. \u00a0 He did not let me (or those who watched our performance this weekend) down. \u00a0We all had a wonderful time, performing and worshipping God and letting the little ones worship with us. \u00a0I think the adults had just a much fun as the children did!<\/p>\n

My prayer is for everyone to know Christ as Someone we can go to for our everyday needs and concerns. \u00a0God wants us to seek Him for our every need before we make little AND big decisions. \u00a0He wants us to do a heart check, to assure our thoughts align with His Word.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
