He who believes in it will not be disturbed [shaken, ashamed]<br \/>\nIsaiah 28:16 NASB<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&#8230;with Christ Jesus Himself as the <strong>cornerstone<\/strong>.<br \/>\nEphesians 2:20b HCSB<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Look! \u00a0I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and honored cornerstone, and the one who believes in Him will never be put to shame!<br \/>\n1 Peter 2:6 HCSB<\/p>\n<p>As I was researching this song, I found this quote by Ben Fielding of Hillsong United:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cJesus is the cornerstone\u2026He is the centerpiece of our hope and compass for all our endeavors. Jesus is the firmest of foundations. Jesus is the reference point for all we have and all that we are. He is the One who holds all things together.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Jesus laid the foundation with His very life. \u00a0He is what holds us together. \u00a0He is the one on which our stability depends. \u00a0I knew that Jesus was the <strong>cornerstone<\/strong> of my salvation but I had never thought of it in this way. \u00a0Not only is He the <strong>cornerstone<\/strong> of my salvation but Jesus is also the <strong>cornerstone<\/strong> of my relationship, the foundation of my life. \u00a0So what does that look like?<\/p>\n<p>1 Samuel 15:22a tells us \u201cBehold, to obey is better than sacrifice\u201d. \u00a0And in Mark 12:30-31 (NLT) Jesus shows us what is most important:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&#8220;And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart,<br \/>\nall your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.<br \/>\nThe second is equally important: Love your neighbor as yourself.<br \/>\nNo other commandment is greater than these.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>With Jesus as our <strong>cornerstone<\/strong>, our lives should be a reflection of Him. \u00a0Our greatest challenge is to bring our lives under obedience to God and love as Jesus loved. \u00a0Being submissive to Him is a choice we make; our obedience brings glory to God and shines His light of love on those around us. \u00a0We may occasionally fail but, when we trust solely in Jesus\u2019 name, we are met by God\u2019s unchanging grace. \u00a0Though we are weak, Christ\u2019s love is our strength.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u201c<span style=\"color: #800080;\">Christ alone, <strong>cornerstone<\/strong>\u2026for He is Lord of all.<\/span>\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"> * \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 \u2665 \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 \u271e \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 \u2665 \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 * <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Father God, thank You so much for giving us Jesus as our cornerstone. \u00a0Thank You for the stability He brings to our lives, and the strength we find in His love. \u00a0Help us be a reflection of Him in our daily lives. \u00a0Thank You for Your unchanging grace when we fail. \u00a0We love You. \u00a0Amen \u2013 It Is SO!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My hope is built on nothing less Than Jesus&#8217;
