Surely, there is some type of order to the happenings of life. \u00a0After all, 1 Corinthians 14:33 says, &#8220;&#8230;For God is not a God of disorder but of peace.&#8221; \u00a0Even with this being the case we don&#8217;t get to see the Big Picture all the time.<\/p>\n<p>Perspective plays a huge role in our relationship with God. \u00a0He sees things we simply do not see and can not see. \u00a0We often have to ask Him to open our eyes to see what He sees. \u00a0And sometimes He sheds light on a situation. \u00a0But sometimes, we are told to wait.<\/p>\n<p>Have you ever felt betrayed by God? \u00a0You went to Him for guidance, followed His directions to the best of your ability, and still got what seemed to be an unfavorable outcome? \u00a0I have. \u00a0And when I find myself in these situations I often take to <em>reminding<\/em> God of His promises.<\/p>\n<p><em>Reminding<\/em> God of His promises is beneficial to us, not to Him. <em>Reminding<\/em> God about His promises, <strong>reminds us<\/strong> of God&#8217;s Word and can bring up some very important issues:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Do I really believe this promise?<\/li>\n<li>Do I trust God to fulfill this promise?<\/li>\n<li>Is there something in my life that I need to address or hand over to God?<\/li>\n<li>Is something hindering God&#8217;s progress in this situation?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I feel this is a very vital role in growing with God. \u00a0I have friends who can read the Bible and take God at His Word easily. \u00a0When they read that God will provide for them&#8230;they believe that God will provide for them. \u00a0When I read that God will provide for me&#8230;I ask questions . I need to know <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">how<\/span> and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">when<\/span>. \u00a0If I can&#8217;t come up with a solution in my mind, then it must be impossible. \u00a0I need details. \u00a0I have gotten better at simply taking God at His Word, but I often have to fight the urge to <em>remind<\/em> Him of the way things are &#8220;supposed&#8221; to be.<\/p>\n<p>The Message translation says,<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Trust GOD from the bottom of your heart;<br \/>\nDon\u2019t try to figure out everything on your own.<br \/>\nListen for GOD\u2019s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go;<br \/>\nHe\u2019s the one who will keep you on track.<br \/>\nProverbs 3:5 and 6<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\"> *\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0~ \u00a0 \u2665 \u00a0 ~\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u271e\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0~ \u00a0\u2665 \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 * <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Lord, I pray that I never forget Your promises and that I never stop coming to You when I have questions or concerns. Thank You for being faithful and answering my prayers. \u00a0Thank You for giving me knowledge and understanding. \u00a0Help me to doubt less, trust more, and follow relentlessly. \u00a0Give me the courage to stand for You, and humility to obey You.
