\u00a0Do you feel a great weight on your shoulders even though you have worked to take some of the pressure off? \u00a0Ever feel like you\u2019re just walking around with imaginary chains wrapped around your body? \u00a0When sickness or other difficulties hit our lives, we can often feel this way.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Then Moses said to God, &#8220;Behold, I am going to the sons of Israel, and I will say to them,<br \/>\n&#8216;The God of your fathers has sent me to you.&#8217; Now they may say to me, &#8216;What is His name?&#8217;<br \/>\nWhat shall I say to them?&#8221; God said to Moses, &#8220;I AM WHO I AM&#8221;;<br \/>\nand He said, &#8220;Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, &#8216;I AM has sent me to you.'&#8221;<br \/>\nGod, furthermore, said to Moses, &#8220;Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel,<br \/>\n&#8216;The LORD, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac,<br \/>\nand the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.&#8217;<br \/>\nThis is My name forever, and this is My memorial-name to all generations.\u2026\u201d<br \/>\nExodus 3:13-15<\/p>\n<p>Moses had a lot on his shoulders when he became God\u2019s deliverer for the Israelites enslaved in Egypt. \u00a0He had the job of delivering God\u2019s message to Pharaoh and then leading Israel to the promised land. \u00a0He knew that he would be asked by the Israelites about who had sent him. \u00a0He needed a name. \u00a0So God said, \u201cI AM WHO I AM\u201d (verse 14). \u00a0Moses had a huge task ahead of him, but he had the greatest love and power aiding and shielding him in his mission\u2014God, the great I AM.<\/p>\n<p>Our God, the great I AM, loves us unconditionally. \u00a0He broke the chains of bondage of the Israelites by using Moses. \u00a0God broke the chains of sin and its consequence\u2014death\u2014by sacrificing His own blood through His son Jesus, so that we could be free from the tyranny of sin. \u00a0Instead of being chained to death, we, as Christians, can look forward to an eternal life in Heaven with our Father\u2014the One who freed us from a life of slavery to sin and death.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"> *\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0~ \u00a0 \u2665 \u00a0 ~\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u271e\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0~ \u00a0\u2665 \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 * <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Dear Heavenly Father: Thank You for breaking the chains of slavery to sin. \u00a0Without Your freeing love and sacrifice, we would certainly burn in the consequences of sin.
