{"id":21638,"date":"2014-09-04T00:20:59","date_gmt":"2014-09-04T04:20:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/?p=21638"},"modified":"2014-09-03T22:06:40","modified_gmt":"2014-09-04T02:06:40","slug":"always-time","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/2014\/09\/04\/always-time\/","title":{"rendered":"Always and All the Time"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/SeekingHimLogo.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-13840\" src=\"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/SeekingHimLogo.jpg\" alt=\"SeekingHimLogo\" width=\"560\" height=\"280\" srcset=\"https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/SeekingHimLogo.jpg 560w, https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/SeekingHimLogo-300x150.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 560px) 100vw, 560px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">In You, LORD, I have taken refuge;<br \/>\nlet me never be put to shame;<br \/>\ndeliver me in Your righteousness.<br \/>\nTurn Your ear to me,<br \/>\ncome quickly to my rescue;<br \/>\nBe my rock of refuge,<br \/>\na strong fortress to save me.<br \/>\nSince You are my rock and my fortress,<br \/>\nfor the sake of Your name lead and guide me.<br \/>\nKeep me free from the trap that is set for me,<br \/>\nfor You are my refuge.<br \/>\nInto Your hands I commit my spirit;<br \/>\ndeliver me, LORD, my faithful God.<br \/>\nPsalms 31:1-5<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h4>Refuge<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4>Deliverer<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4>Rescuer<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4>Fortress<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4>Rock<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4>Leader<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4>Guide<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4>Faithful<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4>God<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I can\u2019t imagine what David was feeling when He was penning these words to God&#8230;I can\u2019t imagine what his life\u2019s struggles led him to think or to feel. \u00a0But I <em>do know<\/em> what these words make me feel. \u00a0I do know what it feels like to know these words for myself\u2014and believe these words for myself.<\/p>\n<p>Not only in times of strife and struggle have I called on God to be these things for me, but He has proven, in times of hurt and pain, that He always is here in all of these roles. \u00a0He is my Rock and my Fortress when I juggle the everyday mundane tasks. \u00a0When I wake to iron, make lunches, drive people to school and practice, He is my Strength. \u00a0When I interact with my family, friends, colleagues, He is my Leader and Guide. \u00a0When I am tired at the end of the day but still have things to finish, He is my Rock. \u00a0He is Faithful to help me when life gets crazier than it seems I can handle.<\/p>\n<p>The beauty in David\u2019s words is that God is not a sometimes God&#8230;He is an always God&#8230;He is always these things. <em><strong>Always and all the time<\/strong><\/em>. \u00a0Good times. \u00a0Not so good times. \u00a0We could be living in a palace at this place in our life, or we could be running through the wilderness. \u00a0Beautiful sisters, remember that He is constantly these things to me, and to the woman next to you in line at the store, to your friends and family&#8230;and to you. \u00a0He is <em>always<\/em> and He is<em> all the time<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #37989e;\">*<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #37989e;\">\u00a0~ \u00a0 \u2665 \u00a0 ~\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u271e\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0~ \u00a0\u2665 \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 *<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Let\u2019s Pray<\/strong><\/span>: \u00a0Dear Heavenly Father, sometimes I forget that You are Here all the time, sometimes is easy to only reach out for You when times are bad, when I\u2019m in the wilderness. \u00a0But David\u2019s words remind me that You are an \u2018<em>always and all the time<\/em>\u2019 God. \u00a0And we need that reminder because life can get crazier than we can handle alone. \u00a0Lord, thank You for being a constant Refuge in the good and bad. \u00a0Thank You for being our Strength, our Rescuer, and our Rock. \u00a0In Jesus\u2019 name I pray, Amen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In You, LORD, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame; deliver me in Your righteousness.
