Into your hands I commit my spirit, redeem me O Lord the God of truth.
\nPsalm 31:5<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Redemption is the topic of my devotional this week. We read of redemption in many of the Scriptures, such as,<\/p>\n

He provided redemption for His people;
\nHe ordained His covenant forever \u2013 holy and awesome is His name.
\nPsalm 111: 9<\/p>\n

O Israel put your hope in the Lord, for with the Lord is unfailing love
\nand with Him is full redemption.
\nPsalm 130:7<\/p>\n

But now, thus says the Lord, your Creator, O Jacob, and He who formed you, O Israel,
\n\u201cDo not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine!\u201d
\nIsaiah 43:1<\/p>\n

Praise be to the Lord the God of Israel because He has come and had redeemed His people.
\nLuke 1:68<\/p>\n

And many, many more Scriptures concerning redemption. \u00a0But our question should be \u201cWhat IS redemption?\u201d<\/p>\n

In simple and well-calculated manner it means \u201c to pay off.\u201d \u00a0We are so lucky, my friends! While we were yet sinners, Christ came to die for us. \u00a0He paid the highest price and took us to Himself. \u00a0We were kind of in an auction\u2014where someone has to bid and then later pays off. \u00a0We are the redeemed of Christ and we are rightful to claim anything that our Redeemer has. \u00a0Because if you redeem, you are taking a thing to yourself for it now belongs to you. \u00a0Let us allow Christ to operate in us fully for He redeemed us.<\/p>\n

Father, we thank You for redeeming us from all bondages in this world\u2014sicknesses, failures, etc. \u00a0We pray for more grace in our lives…in Jesus\u2019 name, I pray. Amen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
