song\u2014every time I find myself struggling with a decision, or wondering which path to take. \u00a0It is a reminder that God is in control (are you humming \u201cGod is in Control\u201d by Twila Paris now?) and I need to seek His will instead of trying to solve the problem on my own. \u00a0Ephesians 1:17 (NLT) encourages us to ask \u201cGod, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give &lt;us&gt; spiritual wisdom and insight so that &lt;we&gt; might grow in our knowledge of God.\u201d \u00a0James 1:5 (NASB) states if we lack wisdom we are to \u201c&#8230;ask of God, Who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given&#8230;.\u201d \u00a0God <em><strong>will<\/strong><\/em> help us find <em><strong>His will<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Often that requires patience. \u00a0I joke that I am not a very virtuous person because patience is not my strongsuit. \u00a0Pain, doubt and hurt make us want to rush ahead. We don\u2019t like being in that valley. \u00a0But, many times, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">that is where we grow the most<\/span> in our relationship with Christ. \u00a0He gives us faith and grace in those valleys. He never lets us go, He is always with us, as Deuteronomy 31:6 and 8 HCSB remind us:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Be strong and courageous; don\u2019t be terrified or afraid of them.<br \/>\nFor it is the Lord your God who goes with you; He will not leave you or forsake you.<br \/>\nThe Lord is the One who will go before you.<br \/>\nHe will be with you; He will not leave you or forsake you.<br \/>\nDo not be afraid or discouraged.<\/p>\n<p>Sidewalk Prophets used the following Scriptures as a basis for this song:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Be still, and know that I am God<\/em>; (the NASB version says \u201cCease striving\u201d)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"text-align: center;\">Psalm 46:10a NIV<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Your Word is a lamp for my feet and a light on my path<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"text-align: center;\">Psalm 119:105 HCSB<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind\u00a0and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. \u00a0In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him,\u00a0and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Proverbs 3:5-6 AMP<\/p>\n<p>I love the Amplified version of Proverbs 3:6&#8212; \u201cHE will direct and make straight and PLAIN your paths.\u201d <strong><em>\u00a0If only we are willing to wait.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">This quote from Bishop T.D.
