\nHe upholds the cause of the oppressed
\nand gives food to the hungry.

\nthe Lord gives sight to the blind,
\nthe Lord lifts up those who are bowed down,
\nthe Lord loves the righteous.
\nThe Lord watches over the foreigner
\nand sustains the fatherless and the widow,
\nbut he frustrates the ways of the wicked.
\nPsalms 146:6-9<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

For those who have children, you can probably relate to the verses above if you think about it. \u00a0We help to create, or make<\/em>, our children in the way we hope that God has in mind. \u00a0We uphold<\/em> them and make them feel better when they are bullied or treated unfairly. \u00a0We watch<\/em> over them to keep them safe and healthy.<\/p>\n

My daughter and I bought a mother\/daughter combo necklace that we found on sale after Mother\u2019s Day. \u00a0I wear the ‘mother’ heart, and she wears the ‘daughter’ heart. \u00a0She wore her necklace to daycare the other day. \u00a0Because one child at daycare is not allowed to wear necklaces because she turns it into a toy, her mother threw a fit when she saw my daughter wearing her heart necklace. \u00a0To keep things fair, the teacher took my daughter\u2019s necklace up. \u00a0(I got the necklace back later on.) \u00a0My daughter didn\u2019t fuss, but I am pretty sure she did not understand what was going on. \u00a0I felt for her, and I felt bad because I was not there to watch over her during the injustice. \u00a0But, I am proud that she didn\u2019t fuss when her teacher took the necklace. \u00a0Most three-year olds would throw a fit.<\/p>\n

Just as we help to create, or make, the person our child becomes so does God. God created the earth and everything in it. He created<\/em> each one of us as a unique individual. He watches<\/em> over each one of us, and He guides just like parents guide their children. We lift them up when they are down and we lift them up when they have success. \u00a0God does the same for us. \u00a0Just as we are faithful to our families, God is faithful to us.<\/p>\n
