Psalm 100 AMP
\nMake a joyful noise to the Lord, all you lands!
\nServe the Lord with gladness! Come before His presence with singing!
\nKnow (perceive, recognize, and understand with approval) that the Lord is God!
\nIt is He Who has made us, not we ourselves [and we are His]!
\nWe are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
\nEnter into His gates with thanksgiving and a thank offering
\nand into His courts with praise! Be thankful and say so to Him,
\nbless and affectionately praise His name!
\nFor the Lord is good; His mercy and loving-kindness are everlasting,
\nHis faithfulness and truth endure to all generations.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Psalm 100 is a psalm of praise. \u00a0It calls us to \u201cMake a joyful noise to the Lord.\u201d \u00a0We are to \u201cEnter into His gates with thanksgiving\u201d in our hearts and enter into \u201cHis courts with praise. \u00a0Give thanks to Him and praise His name.\u201d \u00a0We can praise God anytime, anywhere, publicly or privately, silently or aloud. \u00a0Praise is to be offered with gladness, willingly and not grudgingly. \u00a0We are to offer it because we want to, and because He is God our Creator and the Lord of All.<\/p>\n

You may be thinking \u201cWell that\u2019s all well and good…but you don\u2019t know my<\/em> story, my<\/em> circumstances, my<\/em> life right now. \u00a0There isn\u2019t much to be thankful for!\u201d \u00a0True, I don\u2019t. \u00a0We all have issues. \u00a0But, if you are reading this right now, you are still breathing, right? \u00a0God holds our breath in His hands. \u00a0As Acts 17:25b (AMP) states: \u201c\u2026it is He Himself Who gives life and breath and all things to all.\u201d \u00a0Praise Him for that<\/em><\/strong>. \u00a0Since you are reading this, you can still see, right? \u00a0Praise Him for that<\/em><\/strong>. \u00a0And if you are still reading this, your brain stills work, right? \u00a0Praise Him for that<\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Okay, you get my point. \u00a0At this point I am preaching to myself as much as anyone. \u00a0So let\u2019s stop focusing on what is wrong and what we DON\u2019T have and, instead, offer up praise to God for what is right and all we DO have.<\/p>\n

It may be a challenge for you to praise Him right now. \u00a0At times it has been for me. \u00a0Think of it as a sacrifice, an offering. \u00a0We are no longer required to offer sacrifices to God since Christ became our ultimate Sacrifice. \u00a0Hebrews 13:15 (HCSB) puts it like this: \u201cTherefore, through Him let us continually offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, that is, the fruit of our lips that confess His name.\u201d \u00a0Praise reminds us we owe God every<\/em>thing<\/strong>. \u00a0If we chose to willingly offer Him praise, even in the most difficult of times, think of how much it pleases God. \u00a0And, best of all, it reminds us of the life to come. \u00a0As Isaiah 35:10 (HCSB) puts it:<\/p>\n

…and the redeemed of the Lord will return and come to Zion with singing,
\ncrowned with unending joy. Joy and gladness will overtake them,
\nand sorrow and sighing will flee.<\/p>\n

And, oh! what a day that will be!<\/h4>\n

Father, thank You for everything. \u00a0All we are, all we have, all the blessings You have bestowed upon us. \u00a0Let us never take them for granted. \u00a0May we always praise Your Holy name with gladness and joy in our hearts—no matter the circumstances.
