Psalm 8<\/h4>\n

O\u00a0Lord<\/span>, our Lord,<\/span><\/span>
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>how majestic is Your\u00a0name in all the earth!<\/span><\/span>
You have set Your\u00a0glory above the heavens.<\/span>
Out of the mouth of babies and infants,<\/span><\/span>
You have established\u00a0strength because of Your foes,<\/span>
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>to still\u00a0the enemy and the avenger.<\/span><\/span>
When I\u00a0look at Your heavens, the work of Your\u00a0fingers,<\/span>
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>the moon and the stars,\u00a0which You have set in place,<\/span><\/span>
What is man that You are\u00a0mindful of him,<\/span>
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>and\u00a0the son of man that You\u00a0care for him?<\/span><\/span>
Yet You have made him a little lower than\u00a0the heavenly beings<\/span>
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>and crowned him with\u00a0glory and honour.<\/span><\/span>
You have given him\u00a0dominion over the works of Your hands;<\/span>
\u00a0 \u00a0 Y<\/span>ou have put all things under his feet,<\/span><\/span>
all sheep and oxen,<\/span>
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>and also the beasts of the field,<\/span><\/span>
the birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea,<\/span>
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>whatever passes along the paths of the seas.<\/span><\/span>
O\u00a0Lord<\/span>, our Lord,<\/span>
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>how majestic is Your name in all the earth!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Majestic –<\/strong> characterized by or possessing majesty; of lofty dignity or imposing aspect; stately; grand.<\/em><\/p>\n

‘Majestic’ does not seem to totally describe our Lord, does it? \u00a0I am not sure there is a word in our English language that would capture the essence of our heavenly Father. \u00a0I am sure that is why the name for God is Yahweh<\/strong><\/em>. It was once considered to be blasphemous to say ‘Yahweh’ so the original pronunciation was lost.<\/p>\n

The God we serve, pray to, and worship is more than words could ever begin to describe. \u00a0He is a feeling, a spirit who surrounds us day-by-day, and moment by moment. \u00a0We can never know enough or believe enough. \u00a0That is why we have been given grace and mercy. \u00a0These two things fill the gap where our humanity fails. \u00a0Dear ones, God is magnificent<\/em><\/strong>.<\/em> He reigns over all the world, it’s people, and the rest of the galaxies.<\/p>\n

This make me feel small and in awe that God would take notice of us. \u00a0Especially when He is surrounded by angels. \u00a0But God felt a need to create man in His own image. \u00a0He created us for companionship—sweet fellowship with Him that would be like none other.<\/p>\n

*<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0~ \u00a0 \u2665 \u00a0 ~\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u271e\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0~ \u00a0\u2665 \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 *<\/span><\/p>\n

Father, thank You for caring for us. Thank You for loving us. We will never be able to live up to Jesus’ example, but we do strive to everyday. Sometimes we fail in such a big way…and sometimes we make the right decision. \u00a0Forgive us when we miss our target. \u00a0Help us to find our way to Your perfection. \u00a0Create in us a desire to serve You above all else in our lives. \u00a0In Jesus’ name, Amen!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
