Behold, the Lord\u2019s eye <Ayin Adonai> is upon those who fear Him,
\nwho wait for Him and hope in His mercy and loving-kindness.
\nOur inner selves wait [earnestly] for the Lord; He is our Help and our Shield.
\nFor in Him does our heart rejoice, because we have trusted in His holy name.
\nLet Your mercy and loving-kindness, O Lord, be upon us,
\nin proportion to our waiting and hoping for You.<\/p>\n

Psalms 33:18-22<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Such a comforting thought—that our Father has His \u2018eye on us!\u2019 \u00a0Of course, our heavenly Father does not have actual, physical eyes! \u00a0But, if He did, they would be awesome, magnificent, never-missing-anything eyes, wouldn\u2019t you say? \u00a0And, figuratively, that IS the truth! \u00a0Almighty God, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, and all that is upon this earth AND us, He DOES see us\u2014everything around us, everything about us, everything we do, everywhere we go.<\/p>\n

When human characteristics or attributes are placed on God it is called biblical anthropomorphism<\/em>. \u00a0Anthropomorphism<\/strong> basically means \u2018the form of man.\u2019 \u00a0A synonym for anthropomorphism is ‘personification’. \u00a0There are many examples throughout the Scriptures of both God referring to Himself and the writers of the Bible referring to God in \u201canthropomorphic\u201d terms. \u00a0One purpose to do so would be to describe God in terms more understandable to humans. \u00a0Since God is invisible and has no form, we would not have a framework on which to understand Him. \u00a0(Here is a great article <\/a>which explains this in detail.)<\/p>\n

Doing a simple search for the phrase, \u2018eyes of the Lord,\u2019 came up with over 100 Scriptures on Biblegateway.com. \u00a0Here is a link <\/a>\u00a0if\u00a0you would like to go and read them all yourself!!! \u00a0Many refer to a person doing either what is right and good, or doing evil. \u00a0Here are a few passages which I particularly love (hope you do, too)!<\/p>\n

But Noah found grace (favor) in the eyes of the Lord.
\nGenesis 6:8 AMP<\/p>\n

And Asa did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, as David his father had done.
\n1 Kings 15:11<\/p>\n

For the eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth
\nthat He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His.
\n2 Chronicles 16:9 NASB<\/p>\n

For the ways of a man are before the eyes of the Lord, And He watches all his paths.
\nProverbs 5:21<\/p>\n

For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer,
\nbut the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.
\n1 Peter 3:12<\/p>\n
