On the very day that David killed Goliath, Jonathan pledged his loyalty to him. God did this.<\/p>\n
The soul of Jonathan was knit to the soul of David,
\nand Jonathan loved him as his own soul.

Jonathan loved David and gave him his own sword. \u00a0He gave David his garment and crowned young David as king. \u00a0And then, he protects him<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n When Jonathan hears of Saul\u2019s plot to come after David, Jonathan tells his new friend, and hides him.<\/p>\n My father Saul seeks to kill you. Jonathan gave David a promise, a wardrobe, and protection from his own father. David found a good friend<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n Do you have a friend like Jonathan? \u00a0A soul mate to protect you and who seeks nothing but your interests. \u00a0Only your happiness matters to them. \u00a0You feel safe with that person and you can be yourself. \u00a0You don\u2019t have to think before you speak…they already know what you\u2019re about to say. \u00a0They know what you\u2019re thinking. \u00a0You know that their hand will shield you. \u00a0And you know that you matter.<\/p>\n David had that kind of friend, sent from God. You have a friend that God gave you like this.<\/strong><\/em> Remember these words from Matthew 28:20?<\/p>\n \u201cI am with you always, even to the end of the age.\u201d<\/p>\n Hasn\u2019t Jesus clothed you? \u00a0(He really outdoes Jonathan, don\u2019t you think?) \u00a0He took your sin so that you can go to His home with Him.<\/p>\n God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, Hasn\u2019t He equipped you, like Jonathan did with his sword? He tells us to put on all His armor so that we can resist the devil and his strategies (Ephesians 6:11). \u00a0As part of His armor, He gives us a belt of truth and a body of righteousness. \u00a0And He gives us the sword of the Spirit in the form of His Word.<\/p>\n You have the truest friend of all.<\/strong><\/em> \u00a0No one can, or ever will, love you more. No one can take your sins from you so that you can enter into Heaven\u2019s gates. \u00a0No one but Jesus<\/strong>.<\/em> \u00a0He is your Hiding Place from all that wants to harm you. \u00a0He is the Lover of your soul. \u00a0He alone can fill that empty place. \u00a0And until you know and receive His love, you may not have the joy and peace that He wants to give you.<\/p>\n Do you know Him? \u00a0He is waiting for you with arms open wide. \u00a0He is so ready to be your friend.<\/em> <\/strong>\u00a0He will always have your interests first.<\/p>\n Do you want to know Him? \u00a0It\u2019s never too late and you\u2019re never too far that His arms can\u2019t reach you. If you are ready to receive Him, will you pray this prayer?<\/p>\n *\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0~ \u00a0 \u2665 \u00a0 ~\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u271e\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0~ \u00a0\u2665 \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 *\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Dear Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I need You to come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior.
