\u00a0Let them thank the Lord for His steadfast love,
\nfor His wondrous works to the children of man!
\nAnd let them offer sacrifices of thanksgiving,
\nand tell of His deeds in songs of joy!
\nPsalms 107:21-22<\/span><\/p>\n

*<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0~ \u00a0 \u2665 \u00a0 ~\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u271e\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0~ \u00a0\u2665 \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 *<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The Book of Psalms contains about 100 references to God\u2019s “steadfast love”. \u00a0In Psalm 136 alone it appears 26 times, once in each verse. \u00a0We quickly start to see God\u2019s steadfast love is the reason for our hope. <\/span><\/p>\n

It is He who remembered us in our low estate,
\nfor His steadfast love endures for ever;
\nand rescued us from our foes,
\nfor His steadfast love endures for ever;
\nHe who gives food to all flesh,
\nfor His steadfast love endures for ever.
\nVerses 23-25<\/p>\n

\u00a0The psalmists all praised God for His unceasing, unchanging love and called upon it over and over again. \u00a0When they were oppressed by enemies, heartbroken, stumbling, poor and hungry, they remembered and rejoiced in His love for them. \u00a0We can have hope for our lives now and our eternal lives in the future because, whatever happens, God loves us more than we can comprehend. <\/span><\/p>\n

He will always protect us and provide for us. In Psalm 33:5, David observed, \u201cThe earth is full of the steadfast love of the Lord.\u201d In Psalm 86:13, \u201cFor great is Your steadfast love toward me.\u201d In Psalm 98:3, \u201cHe (the Lord) has remembered His steadfast love and faithfulness.\u201d The loving-kindness of God\u2014His goodness and mercy\u2014is eternal. \u00a0It\u2019s persistent. \u00a0It\u2019s a stubborn love God has for His children. \u00a0He won\u2019t turn His back on us. \u00a0And He won\u2019t give up on us or let us go. <\/span><\/p>\n

God\u2019s steadfast\u00a0love brings Jonah to mind. \u00a0Jonah could run, but he couldn\u2019t hide or get away from God. \u00a0The Lord used a storm to get Jonah\u2019s attention and a very large fish to transport Jonah back to the shore where he had made his wrong turn. \u00a0Even the hardship of Jonah\u2019s experience was God\u2019s loving-kindness. \u00a0He could have wiped out the wayward prophet in a heartbeat. \u00a0But, determined to show His loving-kindness to the huge city of Nineveh through Jonah, God kept him alive. \u00a0Psalms 33:18-19 sums it up this way,<\/span><\/p>\n

Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him,
\non those who hope in His steadfast love,
\nthat He may deliver their soul from death and keep them alive in famine.<\/p>\n

Today, let the Psalms refresh you as you read over and over again of God\u2019s infinite love for us (both in size and time). \u00a0<\/span>Let\u2019s thank God for a hope that can be secure in His love. And this is a reason we can offer sacrifices of thanksgiving to this wonderful God who does wondrous things. <\/span><\/p>\n

Father, we thank You for Your steadfast love over us Your children who are called by Your name. \u00a0I honor You for there is no any other to receive the honor.
