Let them thank the Lord for His steadfast love,
\nfor His wondrous works to the children of man!
\nAnd let them offer sacrifices of thanksgiving,
\nand tell of His deeds in songs of joy!
\nPsalms 107:21-22<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Reading the background of these verses, it amazes me how we are in such rebellion. \u00a0No matter how good we are, we cannot become better by our deeds. When we become ill, we pray for our heavenly Father to heal us, to make us better. \u00a0We pray when we lose our jobs. \u00a0We pray when we are in any kind of trouble. \u00a0What I want to do is praise my Father for whatever<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0may come my way. \u00a0I want to sing for joy and dance with passion!<\/p>\n

I believe it is this heart-change that allows us to see that God is not the image we have of our earthly father. \u00a0God is so not<\/strong><\/em> that man! \u00a0God wants us to love Him because He first loved us. \u00a0God has given us the Psalms and the other accounts to remind us of how He wants what is best. \u00a0He knew we would make mistakes…He knew we would need His loving arms around us all the time.<\/p>\n

As God spoke and His word was done, we also can speak and proclaim His Word throughout all of the world. \u00a0We can speak them over our lives and the lives of those we love. We can speak the healing Scriptures over those that are hurting. For example we can pray,<\/p>\n

Do you not know?<\/span>
Have you not heard?<\/span>
Yahweh is the everlasting God,<\/span>
the Creator of the whole earth.<\/span>
He never grows faint or weary;<\/span>
there is no limit to His understanding.<\/span>
He gives strength to the weary<\/span>
and strengthens the powerless.<\/span>
Youths may faint and grow weary,<\/span>
and young men stumble and fall,<\/span>
But those who trust in the\u00a0Lord<\/span><\/span>
will renew their strength;<\/span>
They will soar on wings like eagles;<\/span>
they will run and not grow weary;<\/span>
They will walk and not faint.<\/span><\/p>\n
