If you messed up, you brought your perfect sacrifice to the priest who would offer up prayers, petitions, and make atonement on your behalf.\u00a0 As you can imagine, the priests were probably pretty busy, continually offering up sacrifices to cleanse the people of their sins.\u00a0 This continued for hundreds of years!<\/p>\n<p><em><strong><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Now enter Jesus.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/em> When John the Baptist sees Jesus and says \u201cBehold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!\u201d (John 1:29), my heart always starts beating faster. Jesus was <span style=\"color: #800080;\">IT<\/span>, the final and perfect Sacrifice.\u00a0 The blood requirement for all time that would cover <i>every<\/i> sin for<i> everyone<\/i>. \u00a0Jesus was (and still is) the Son of God, a revolutionary person that <b>loved you and I so much<\/b> that he <b>willingly<\/b> gave His life so that you and I could live with God forever!<\/p>\n<p>Understand me here, friends.\u00a0 <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em><strong>JESUS LOVES YOU!!<\/strong><\/em><\/span>\u00a0 Jesus wasn\u2019t tricked into dying for us.\u00a0 He wasn\u2019t forced into it. \u00a0He\u2019s not sitting in Heaven angry with you for having to be crucified. \u00a0He willingly took our punishment so that we could be free! \u00a0<span style=\"color: #800080;\">LOVE<\/span> died for you.\u00a0 And guess what?\u00a0 <span style=\"color: #800080;\">LOVE<\/span> lives for you, in Heaven!\u00a0 The grave couldn\u2019t hold him!\u00a0 Death couldn\u2019t keep him!\u00a0 Jesus kicked death in the face and told him \u2013 \u201cyou\u2019ve got NOTHING on me!!\u201d (My modern day translation\u2026) \u00a0And the power, the beautiful power that raised Christ from the dead \u2013 you know, the Holy Spirit!&#8211; It LIVES in you and me when we give our lives to Jesus. \u00a0<b>H<span style=\"color: #800080;\">allelujah!!!<\/span><\/b><span style=\"color: #800080;\">\u00a0<\/span> Just like our Lord, you aren\u2019t a victim \u2013 you\u2019re a victor!\u00a0 Our bodies may decay, but our spirits are not bound by death \u2013 Jesus triumphed over death and evil so that we, too, could be triumphant!\u00a0 If you can work through what that means in your life&#8212;if you can truly get your head wrapped around it and live like you believe it&#8212;you will be amazed at the change it brings in your life!\u00a0 It did to me.<\/p>\n<p>When I realized that Jesus LOVED me so much that He died for me&#8230;that He wasn\u2019t mad at me&#8230;that He wanted me to live a full and abundant life&#8230;my life changed dramatically.\u00a0 I went from being delivered from sin, to living a life of freedom in Christ!
