But soon a fierce storm came up. High waves were breaking into the boat, and it began to fill with water. Jesus was sleeping at the back of the boat with his head on a cushion. The disciples woke him up, shouting, \u201cTeacher, don\u2019t you care that we\u2019re going to drown?\u201d When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and said to the waves, \u201cSilence! Be still!\u201d Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm. Then He asked them, \u201cWhy are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?\u201d The disciples were absolutely terrified. \u201cWho is this man?\u201d they asked each other. \u201cEven the wind and waves obey Him!\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Mark 4:35-41 NLT<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>One of the things that I love about this passage in Scripture is that Jesus was sleeping in the midst of the storm\u2026He was at peace in it.<\/p>\n<p>He is our peace in the midst of the storms in our lives when we focus on Him instead of our circumstances.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation,<br \/>\nhaving abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is,<br \/>\nthe law of commandments contained in ordinances,<br \/>\nso as to create in Himself one new man from the two,<br \/>\nthus making peace, and that He might reconcile them both to God<br \/>\nin one Body through the Cross, thereby putting to death the enmity.<br \/>\nEphesians 2:14\u201316<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\">* \u00a0~ \u00a0\u2665 \u00a0~<strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>\u00a0\u271e\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>~\u00a0\u00a0\u2665 \u00a0~ \u00a0*<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Heavenly Father, thank You for Jesus and that He is our peace in the storms of life and that we are never alone in this journey of life. Father, I thank You for the peace that surpasses all understanding when we focus on the gift given to us through Your Son.
