Why are you asking me for a drink?\u201d \u00a0Jesus replied, \u201cIf you only knew the gift God has for you and who you are speaking to, you would ask Me, and I would give you living water.\u201d \u00a0\u201cBut sir, you don\u2019t have a rope or a bucket,\u201d she said, \u201cand this well is very deep. \u00a0Where would you get this living water? \u00a0And besides, do you think you\u2019re greater than our ancestor Jacob, who gave us this well? \u00a0How can you offer better water than he and his sons and his animals enjoyed?\u201d \u00a0Jesus replied, \u201cAnyone who drinks this water will soon become thirsty again. \u00a0But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. \u00a0It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.\u201d \u201cPlease, sir,\u201d the woman said, \u201cgive me this water! \u00a0Then I\u2019ll never be thirsty again, and I won\u2019t have to come here to get water.\u201d \u00a0\u201cGo and get your husband,\u201d Jesus told her. \u00a0\u201cI don\u2019t have a husband,\u201d the woman replied. \u00a0Jesus said, \u201cYou\u2019re right! \u00a0You don\u2019t have a husband\u2014for you have had five husbands, and you aren\u2019t even married to the man you\u2019re living with now. \u00a0You certainly spoke the truth!\u201d \u00a0\u201cSir,\u201d the woman said, \u201cyou must be a prophet. \u00a0So tell me, why is it that you Jews insist that Jerusalem is the only place of worship, while we Samaritans claim it is here at Mount Gerizim, where our ancestors worshiped?\u201d \u00a0Jesus replied, \u201cBelieve me, dear woman, the time is coming when it will no longer matter whether you worship the Father on this mountain or in Jerusalem. \u00a0You Samaritans know very little about the One you worship, while we Jews know all about Him, for salvation comes through the Jews. \u00a0But the time is coming\u2014indeed it\u2019s here now\u2014when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. \u00a0The Father is looking for those who will worship Him that way. \u00a0For God is Spirit, so those who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth.\u201d \u00a0The woman said, \u201cI know the Messiah is coming\u2014the one who is called Christ. \u00a0When He comes, He will explain everything to us.\u201d \u00a0Then Jesus told her, \u201cI AM the Messiah!\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">John 4:7-26 ESV<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>* \u00a0~ \u00a0* \u00a0~<\/strong>\u00a0 \u00a0\u2665 \u00a0~<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u271e\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>~ \u00a0\u2665\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<strong>~ \u00a0* \u00a0~\u00a0\u00a0*<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\">God is the only One who c<\/span><span style=\"color: #800080;\">an fill every empty space; every desire and dream that make up who I am can only be filled by my Savior.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">I want to be that woman who is completely satisfied in Christ even if my biggest dreams fall to the wayside. I want to let Jesus fill every inch of my soul and heal the broken pieces that reside there. \u00a0I want Him to be enough because I know He is. \u00a0So I come to Him with hands lifted up asking for help. \u00a0Here I am, Lord, please fill the empty places and heal the broken pieces.
