We have now entered the season of Lent. \u00a0For many Christians, Lent is taken as a time of preparation for the celebration of Easter where God miraculously redeemed mankind by resurrecting His Son from the dead. It is also a time to consider what Jesus said and did; and how we should be living in light of His Words. \u00a0\u271e \u2665<\/p>\n

During this season, here on the\u00a0Seeking Him<\/em><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0devotional blog, we have chosen to focus our devotionals on Jesus\u2019 instructions and admonition communicated in Matthew chapter 6\u2014the Beatitudes. \u00a0Jesus said, \u201cBlessed are\u2026\u201d and He went on to give instruction as to how to be \u201cblessed<\/em>.\u201d \u00a0To be \u2018blessed\u2019 is to \u2018be happy, or to be envied.\u2019 \u00a0Truly for the Christian, we ARE blessed\u2014oh, how very blessed we are! \u00a0Those who observe our lives should clearly be able to tell that we ARE blessed\u2014and that we KNOW it! \u271e \u2665<\/p>\n

Please consider Jesus\u2019 instructions along with us. \u00a0We pray that our words will encourage you and spur you on to be prepare your hearts for the joyous celebration of His Resurrection! \u00a0\u271e \u2665<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. <\/span><\/strong>
\nMatthew 5:3<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Have you ever gotten to where you knew that only<\/em> God<\/strong> could help you? \u00a0If you haven\u2019t, you should. \u00a0Even when you are dealing with a tragedy or crisis, realizing your need for God\u2019s help is a good thing! \u00a0For you know that nothing or no one else can step in and save the day\u2014no one, that is, except Jesus! \u00a0Many tears have fallen when pride has had to be broken. \u00a0Then, the help that God brings shines brightly amidst the dark clouds of despair that have wanted to hover in life\u2019s most difficult seasons. \u00a0God\u2019s help always matters and always makes a difference! \u00a0Do you realize you can\u2019t do life well without Him? \u00a0Life is always better with Jesus! \u00a0Not only will you have the wonderful Presence of God walking with you daily in whatever you may encounter, but He will bless you and promises you the Kingdom of Heaven, if you are \u201cpoor in spirit\u201d (recognizing your need for God\u2019s help).<\/p>\n

So, what are you waiting for? \u00a0He is waiting for you. \u00a0Simply ask<\/strong> for His help<\/em>. \u00a0I cannot understand why anyone would not. \u00a0If pride is standing in your way, ask God to help you trample on it!<\/p>\n

Within every heart there should be a sense of needing God’s help. \u00a0I look at my own life. My every day should be in His Hands to guide me. \u00a0Without God\u2019s Presence and help, my days would not have meaning for this life or<\/strong> the life to come. \u00a0I have no problem admitting that I need God\u2019s help daily. \u00a0And each day I seek Him in prayer. \u00a0That is where I verbally express my dependency on Him and where my relationship with Him grows. \u00a0The Bible, God\u2019s written Word, should not be far from my reach at some point on any given day either. \u00a0From His Word, I receive His help through reading: His commands, His promises, and of stories of how others lived life with<\/em> God reigning and about those who lived without<\/em> Him as Lord and did not call out to God for help. \u00a0The problem is always the same: everyone needed God\u2019s help! \u00a0The difference is that some chose it and some did not. \u00a0The choice is easy for me: I need God\u2019s help! \u00a0I will tell the whole world in hopes that they will see that they need His help, too, and that they need a Savior!<\/p>\n

* ~ \u2665\u00a0~ \u271e<\/strong>\u00a0~ \u2665~ *<\/span><\/p>\n

Dear Lord, I praise You for being the wonderful loving and caring God that You are. \u00a0I don\u2019t know what everyone who reads this prayer is presently going through…but You do. \u00a0Please let them see that You can help them with their trials and the circumstances that come their way. \u00a0If they don\u2019t already know You as Savior, please let that be the most important decision they make before they go any further. \u00a0I hope they ask for forgiveness of sins and, then make You Savior, King, and Lord by allowing You to transform their lives as they live their lives focused on You and desire to bring You glory. \u00a0In Jesus\u2019 Name I pray, Amen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
