Don\u2019t be dejected and sad, for the joy of the Lord is your strength!
\nNehemiah 8:10<\/p>\n

Joy can be found in the Lord’s Word. \u00a0Simply put\u2014if you want it, it can easily be found. \u00a0Joy is most certainly NOT a scarce commodity for the Lord. \u00a0The sanctuary of the Lord sounds like a safe place to me…it IS safe! \u00a0It sounds peaceful…it IS peaceful!<\/p>\n

Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid.
\nEven if I am attacked, I will remain confident.
\nThe one thing I ask of the Lord\u2014the thing I seek most\u2014is to live
\nin the House of the Lord all the days of my life,
\ndelighting in the Lord\u2019s perfections and meditating in His Temple.
\nFor He will conceal me there when troubles come;
\nHe will hide me in His sanctuary. He will place me out of reach on a high rock.
\nThen I will hold my head high above my enemies who surround me.
\nAt His sanctuary I will offer sacrifices with shouts of joy,
\nsinging and praising the Lord with music.
\nPsalms 27:3-6<\/p>\n

My favorite part of this passage is that “He will hide me in His sanctuary. He will place me out of reach on a high rock. Then I will hold my head high above my enemies who surround me.” \u00a0How quickly I forget that my battles are not my own. Never were my battles intended to be my own. \u00a0The Lord of Heaven’s Armies has more than enough capability to handle all the battles that could possibly come my way. \u00a0Heaven’s Army sounds pretty big to me\u2014it sounds pretty capable of taking care of ALL battles.<\/p>\n

For the Lord God is our Sun and our Shield.<\/span>
\n He gives us grace and glory.<\/span>
\n The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.<\/span>
\n O Lord of Heaven\u2019s Armies, what joy for those who trust in You.<\/span>
\n Psalms 84:11-12<\/span><\/p>\n

Trusting in the Lord brings joy. \u00a0His word says that He will \u2018withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.\u2019 \u00a0His joy is a good thing and I’m thankful that He doesn’t withhold it.<\/p>\n
