{"id":18093,"date":"2014-02-26T00:30:22","date_gmt":"2014-02-26T05:30:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/?p=18093"},"modified":"2014-02-26T01:15:03","modified_gmt":"2014-02-26T06:15:03","slug":"something-need-let-go-life-balance-physically-mentally-spiritually","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/2014\/02\/26\/something-need-let-go-life-balance-physically-mentally-spiritually\/","title":{"rendered":"Is There Something You Need to Let Go to Have a Life of Balance Physically, Mentally and Spiritually?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/let-it-go.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-18096 aligncenter\" alt=\"let it go\" src=\"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/let-it-go-260x300.jpg\" width=\"260\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/let-it-go-260x300.jpg 260w, https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/let-it-go.jpg 556w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 260px) 100vw, 260px\" \/><\/a>Do you eat healthy and exercise, yet struggle with consistency? \u00a0Do you struggle to overcome anxiety from the stresses in your life?\u00a0 If so, have you thought that it may not be the external circumstances such as time, schedules, business, or other people, but your thoughts and emotions about the situation?<\/p>\n<p>To have a consistent exercise and healthy eating program as well as not allow stress to overrule your life, I encourage you to stop for a moment and tackle what could be the root:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Is there something you need to <em><strong>LET GO<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\nin order to have a life of balance<br \/>\nphysically, mentally and spiritually?<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><b>Your Exercise<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI used to exercise every day, now I can\u2019t seem to find the time or energy!\u201d \u00a0 Sound familiar? \u00a0Think back to what may have been different when you <em>did<\/em> exercise regularly.\u00a0 Now, how are things different today?\u00a0 You may be trying to follow an exercise program that is no longer conducive to your lifestyle.\u00a0 Is it time to LET IT GO and develop a routine that works for you now?\u00a0 I recently had a client say she now has a program that \u201cfits her lifestyle.\u201d\u00a0 Yea! \u00a0By letting go of certain expectations, she is now exercising consistently.<\/p>\n<p>God\u2019s word says in <strong>Isaiah 43<\/strong><strong>:18<\/strong> &#8220;<em><strong>Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.\u00a0 See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?<\/strong><\/em>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Look ahead and plan a new program that is fresh and works for you now.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><b>Your Food <\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Do you ever say, \u201cI know what I should do, but I just can\u2019t seem to do it.\u201d \u00a0Could it be there is an underlying emotion that you have ignored that is the root cause for what triggers you to make unhealthy eating decisions?\u00a0 For example, is it time to for you to LET GO of<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The need to gain approval of others which leads to insecurity<\/li>\n<li>What others have said to or about you in your past which is hidden through food<\/li>\n<li>The fear of imperfection or gaining weight which leads to not eating at all<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>How comforting and encouraging to remember that God, our Creator,\u00a0 says in <strong>Psalm 139:14<\/strong> that we are &#8220;<em><strong>wonderfully made<\/strong><\/em>.&#8221; \u00a0When we focus on what HE says about us, it can bring comfort, peace, and confidence that meets our deepest need.\u00a0 We, as women, must come to the place where we not only know, but BELIEVE, what God says about each of us.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><b>Your Mental Well-being <\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p>I remember when I came to the point where I realized the root cause of most of my stress was my own way of thinking.\u00a0 To manage my stress, I exercised and ate healthy, but why did I let things get to me sometime?\u00a0 Root cause\u2026trying to control every situation in my life.\u00a0 I had to LET GO of some things.\u00a0 So that you can have a life of complete well being and manage your stressful situations, is it time for you to LET GO of<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The way you think things should be done<\/li>\n<li>The way you think the schedule should be<\/li>\n<li>Expectations of yourself or others<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As David says in <b>Psalm 31:14-15<\/b>, we are to give our everything including our time to God and trust Him with it.\u00a0 <b><i>But I trust you, O Lord, I Say, you are my God.\u00a0 My times are in your hands.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>In one of my favorite books,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Let-Go-Running-Start-Walking-ebook\/dp\/B007WRPVHQ\/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1393383274&amp;sr=8-1&amp;keywords=let+it+go+ehman\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Let It Go<\/em><\/span><\/a>\u00a0by Karen Ehman, the first chapter (entitled \u201cGod Called and He Wants His Job Back\u201d) really hit me where I needed it.\u00a0 She reminds us it is not our job to manipulate or micro-manage the circumstances around us.\u00a0 <b>We are to change our attitude and trust God for with our time, circumstances, and those who are closest to us.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>My kids love the movie <em><strong>Frozen<\/strong> <\/em>and are constantly singing the song \u201cLet it Go.\u201d\u00a0 I have to say, it is a great upbeat lyric&#8212;they seem to sing it right when I need to hear it.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=moSFlvxnbgk&amp;feature=kp\">Check it out.<\/a>\u00a0 It may be refreshing and give you a little tune you can\u2019t get out of your head as a reminder, just like me. \u00a0 &lt;Sorry!&gt;<\/p>\n<p>For today, think about the possibilities of what it could be like if you left the past, focused on what God says about you, and gave up trying to control every situation in your life.<\/p>\n<p>What can you LET GO\u00a0to have a life of balance physically, mentally and spiritually?<\/p>\n<p>In Good Health,<\/p>\n<p>Crystal<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Do you eat healthy and exercise, yet struggle with consistency? \u00a0Do you struggle to overcome anxiety from the stresses in your life?\u00a0 If so, have you thought that it may not be the external circumstances such as time, schedules, business, or other people, but your thoughts and emotions about the situation?
