\nAs for God, His way is perfect; <\/span><\/strong>
\nThe word of the LORD is proven; <\/span><\/strong>
\nHe is a shield to all who trust in Him. <\/span><\/strong>
\nFor who is God, except the LORD? <\/span><\/strong>
\nAnd who is a rock, except our God? <\/span><\/strong>
\nIt is God who arms me with strength, <\/span><\/strong>
\nAnd makes my way perfect. <\/span><\/strong>
\nPsalms 18:30-32<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cMom! its not working!\u201d \u00a0\u201cGuys, how are you doing it?\u201d \u00a0As my boys proceed to tell me how they are using the way they devised (I don\u2019t even know how they came up with this method), I chuckle to myself, knowing that it wouldn\u2019t work, and knowing that this was going to happen. \u00a0They weren\u2019t going to do it the way I suggested they do it because I have given birth to the most independent and stubborn boys in the world. \u00a0Who knew that lining books back into a bookshelf could be so difficult?<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t new, all three of my children have the \u201cI\u2019m going to try it my way first,\u201d mentality when they set out to accomplish tasks. \u00a0Many times the end result is less than what we all hoped for. \u00a0Similar situations are seen in the daily lives of most parents, even our Heavenly Father. \u00a0His children are stubborn, we like to try it our way. \u00a0He tells us or shows how to do something and we turn around and do it how we see fit, and \u00a0the outcome is always less than we hoped for.<\/p>\n

Though my ways are far from perfect, my boys have learned that they may work \u00a0better. \u00a0But His ways are perfect, and when we follow His ways, He will shield us from the unpleasant side effects of trying our own ways first. \u00a0Thankfully God is forgiving, and we get do-overs. \u00a0He gives us chance after chance to do it His way. \u00a0Time after time, He has shown me that His Word is proven. \u00a0Time and time again He has been my Shield, my Strength, and my Rock. \u00a0He has done so even when I tried my way first…when I didn\u2019t trust Him as I should have. \u00a0He was waiting for me, His arms outstretched, ready to show that His words rang true.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s Pray<\/strong><\/span>: \u00a0Dear Heavenly Father, You know better than we do that we don\u2019t always do things Your way, yet You love us regardless. \u00a0We fight, we argue, we do things how we want to. \u00a0But You are always there, arms outstretched. \u00a0Always our Shield, always our Rock, always our Strength. \u00a0Thank You. \u00a0In Jesus name, we pray, Amen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
