As we move into Week Five, we are more than halfway through our study of CHRISTLife:<\/strong> Embracing Your True and Deepest Identity<\/em>. \u00a0Here are a few highlights of our week to come:<\/p>\n

\u25cf Dead To Sin<\/strong><\/p>\n

But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ,
\nby which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
\nGalatians 6:14<\/p>\n

Mrs. Myers makes such the good point: “It is not simply gritting our teeth, and repeating, ‘I\u2019m dead to sin..I\u2019m dead to sin…I insist I am dead to sin!’ (page 89)” \u00a0Now the Truth is\u2014we ARE dead to sin and alive<\/strong> to God in Christ Jesus! \u00a0It\u2019s a fact.<\/p>\n

\u25cf A Liberating Separation<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
\nRomans 6:11<\/p>\n

\u00a0Our new nature, given to us at our new birth, reflects Jesus\u2019 accomplishments on the Cross and afford us the reality of this new nature. The real y.o.u., Christ in you<\/strong>, yearns to be conformed to His image. It\u2019s available…so step up, embrace all you are in Christ!<\/p>\n

\u25cf United With Christ<\/strong><\/p>\n

For our sake He made Him to be sin who knew no sin,
\nso that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.
\n2 Corinthians 5:21<\/p>\n

How equally humbling and exhilarating is it to proclaim, \u201cMy life IS Christ!\u201d (If it wasn\u2019t the Truth…we\u2019d be foolish to think it; but IT IS!)<\/p>\n

\u25cf One With Him In Spirit<\/strong><\/p>\n

If the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you,
\nHe who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life
\nto your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
\nRomans 8:11<\/p>\n

With this new life in us, all the attributes and qualities that are true of Christ are equally true of you (and me, too!) \u00a0What He could do and did…I can also because of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n

\u25cf Filled<\/strong><\/p>\n

So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith\u2014
\nthat you, being rooted and grounded in love,
\nmay have strength to comprehend with all the saints
\nwhat is the breadth and length and height and depth,
\nand to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge,
\nthat you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
\nEphesians 3:17-19<\/p>\n

What more could we need? In the fullness of God we have everything that is needed given to us by grace and due to mercy and in love!<\/p>\n

Here we are right smack dab in the middle of our study, isn\u2019t that amazing?!!? \u00a0As we move forward, ladies, let\u2019s not loosen our grasp on the Truth we have received. \u00a0We have learned of\u2013and BELIEVE\u2014the images of ourselves that are communicated to us throughout the Scriptures. \u00a0We are learning to replace the negative lies we have held onto with the positive images\u2014the Truth\u2014of how God sees us. \u201cI am who God says I am\u2019 is not simply a cute expression…it is the absolute Truth!<\/p>\n

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable\u2014if anything is excellent or praiseworthy\u2014think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me\u2014put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.<\/p>\n
