Be quiet. Sit still.\u00a0 Draw\u00a0\u00a0 close. \u00a0Dwell in His presence.<\/p>\n
Rest in His love.\u00a0 Listen as He speaks.\u00a0 Cling to His words. And remember, God speaks to those He loves….<\/p>\n
What a privilege we have that the Almighty God, He Who is mighty to save,\u00a0\u00a0 the Creator of the heavens and the earth would speak with us!\u00a0 That He\u00a0\u00a0 would draw us to Himself, bringing us into a tender and close relationship\u00a0\u00a0 with Himself!<\/p>\n Think about the importance of God’s words.\u00a0 With His words He\u00a0\u00a0 spoke all of Creation into existence.<\/p>\n And God said, Let there be light; and there was light.<\/em><\/p>\n Then God said, \u201cLet there be an expanse\u00a0\u00a0 in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the\u00a0\u00a0 waters..and it was so.<\/em><\/p>\n Then God said, \u201cLet\u00a0\u00a0 the waters below the heavens be gathered into one place, and let the\u00a0\u00a0 dry land appear\u201d and it was so.<\/em><\/p>\n Then God said, \u201cLet the earth\u00a0\u00a0 sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees on the earth\u00a0\u00a0 bearing fruit after their kind with seed in them;\u201d and it was so.<\/em><\/p>\n Then God said, \u201cLet there be lights\u00a0\u00a0 in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them\u00a0\u00a0 be for signs\u00a0\u00a0 and for seasons\u00a0\u00a0 and for days and years;\u201d and it was\u00a0\u00a0 so.<\/em><\/p>\n Then God said, \u201cLet the waters teem\u00a0\u00a0 with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth…God created the\u00a0\u00a0 great sea monsters and every living creature that moves, with which the waters\u00a0\u00a0 swarmed after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind;\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n Then God said, \u201cLet the earth bring forth living\u00a0\u00a0 creatures after their kind: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth\u00a0\u00a0 after their kind\u201d; and it was so.<\/em><\/p>\n Then God said, \u201cLet Us\u00a0\u00a0 make man\u00a0\u00a0 in Our image, according to Our likeness…God created man in\u00a0\u00a0 His own image, in the image of God He created him; male\u00a0\u00a0 and female He created them. God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and\u00a0\u00a0 multiply….”<\/em><\/p>\n (excerpts from Genesis\u00a0\u00a0 1:3-28)<\/em><\/p>\n This same God, YHWH, the Creator\u00a0\u00a0 desires to speak to us!\u00a0 He wants to speak words—His words—that will\u00a0\u00a0 heal us, set us free, comfort us, bless us.\u00a0 Throughout the Scriptures we\u00a0\u00a0 read often of God speaking through prophets and holy men words that had\u00a0\u00a0 much impact.\u00a0 Words that brought life…sometimes death.\u00a0 God\u00a0\u00a0 communicated His heart through His words to His people.<\/strong><\/p>\n And the Lord said to\u00a0\u00a0 Moses,<\/em><\/p>\n Say to Aaron and his sons, This is the way you shall\u00a0\u00a0 bless the Israelites. Say to them,<\/em><\/p>\n The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and\u00a0\u00a0 keep you;<\/em><\/p>\n The\u00a0\u00a0 Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious\u00a0\u00a0 (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;<\/em><\/p>\n The\u00a0\u00a0 Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace\u00a0\u00a0 (tranquility of heart and life continually).<\/em><\/p>\n (Numbers 6:22-26)<\/em><\/p>\n God was\u00a0\u00a0 speaking to Moses the words that the priests were to speak to the Nation\u00a0\u00a0 of Israel\u00a0 to communicate to them the blessing of God.\u00a0 These words\u00a0\u00a0 had life.<\/p>\n You have said, ‘Seekmy face.’\u00a0 My heart says to you, ‘Your face, Lord, do I seek’ ”\u00a0 (Psalms\u00a0\u00a0 27:8).<\/em><\/p>\n As you seek Him,\u00a0\u00a0 know that He will be found.\u00a0 Your God desires to care for you, to bless\u00a0\u00a0 you, to provide for you.\u00a0 And He wants to speak to you…take time to\u00a0\u00a0 listen.\u00a0 < 3<\/p>\n Love,<\/p>\n __________________________________________________<\/p>\n Our secret fellowship group on Facebook\u00a0 is OPEN, so join us to make some new friends who love the Lord!!!!
