I think it is the most vulnerable I allowed myself to be in this book. I was nervous sharing it because of what I admitted. If you haven&#8217;t read it yet, go read chapter 10,\u00a0<i>Love Does Not Delight In Evil<\/i> and come back.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/16daylovechallengenodelightinevil.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-15764\" alt=\"16daylovechallengenodelightinevil\" src=\"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/16daylovechallengenodelightinevil.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/16daylovechallengenodelightinevil.jpg 400w, https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/16daylovechallengenodelightinevil-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Can you remember a time when my story was a reflection of your heart? \u00a0I think as we grow in our walk with God we should have the same desire David did when he asked God<i>, \u201c<\/i><i>Search me, O God, and know my heart!<\/i><i> Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me,\u00a0and lead me in the way everlasting\u201d\u00a0 <\/i>(Psalms 139:23-24).\u00a0 <strong>But sometimes the search reveals more than we want to know.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The day God revealed my heart I realized that I had lost sight of wisdom and chose to delight in evil&#8230;and it was ugly. \u00a0I was so ashamed of myself and yet I could not bring my heart to make it right. \u00a0My <em>rights<\/em> were at stake. \u00a0I felt I had a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">right<\/span> to be \u201cright!\u201d \u00a0Then I read Psalm 139 and realized this isn&#8217;t even close to David\u2019s heart&#8212;or God&#8217;s. \u00a0Every time I read this passage I missed a very important truth that I needed to understand.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>&#8220;God already knows my heart!&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>King David was asking God to search his heart, however the purpose wasn\u2019t for God to find out what was going on. The purpose was so <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">God could reveal David&#8217;s heart<\/span><\/em> to him. God is omniscient! \u00a0He knows <em>everything<\/em> about us. \u00a0<em>Nothing<\/em> is hidden from Him because He is <em>everywhere<\/em>. \u00a0He is here with me, guiding me as I write to you. \u00a0And He is with you, speaking to you as you read. \u00a0 Admittedly though, the following verses cause me to fear God in a respectful manner and bring great comfort to me. \u00a0They are a source of refreshing water to my dry and fearful soul.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><i>Where shall I go from Your Spirit?\u00a0<\/i><i> Or where shall I flee from Your Presence. \u00a0If I ascend to heaven, You are there! \u00a0If I make my bed in Sheol, You are there! \u00a0If I take the wings of the morning\u00a0and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea even there Your hand shall lead me,\u00a0and Your right hand shall hold me. \u00a0If I say, \u201cSurely the darkness shall cover me,\u00a0and the light about me be night,\u201d even the darkness is not dark to You;\u00a0the night is bright as the day,\u00a0for darkness is as light with You.<\/i><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><i><\/i><strong>Psalms 139:7-12<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"center\">I love this quote from Renee Swope&#8217;s book,\u00a0<em>A Confident Heart. <\/em>She said,<em> \u201cGod uses conviction lovingly, to show us our sin and lead our hearts to repentance. He does this to draw us away from destructive behavior that hinders our relationship with Him and others. His desire is to bring us out of the darkness of sin and back into the light, so that we can walk with Him in the freedom of forgiveness and the confidence of His love.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I pray you will take today&#8217;s Love Challenge to heart. \u00a0God wants to reveal any wickedness that is residing within us for the purpose of transforming us. We can&#8217;t change something if we don&#8217;t know it needs to be changed, right? \u00a0 His goal is that we would become an outward reflection of His inward Glory. \u00a0God&#8217;s inward Glory has a profound effect on our outward appearance. \u00a0<em>&#8220;<\/em>The royal daughter <i>is<\/i> <strong>all glorious within<\/strong> <i>the palace; <\/i>Her <strong>clothing <i>is<\/i> woven with gold<\/strong>&#8221; (Psalms 45:13). \u00a0This is another verse for you to consider. The inward glory of the King&#8217;s daughter originates in, and is the result of, her calling and being set apart for Him as royalty: &#8220;But know that the Lord has set apart for Himself him who is godly&#8221; (Psalm 4:3).<\/p>\n<p>God won&#8217;t reject us because we&#8217;ve made bad choices today.\u00a0 We are His daughters and He loves us with an everlasting Love. Don&#8217;t be satisfied to walk with a heart that delights in seeing others hurt because they hurt you.\u00a0 Though we fail, we know that we can find comfort in God&#8217;s Word. \u00a0No matter what we do or the choices we make, <em><strong>He is with us<\/strong><\/em>!<\/p>\n<p><em>Father, thank You for Your loving heart to guide and direct us. \u00a0Help us to recognize when You are convicting us. \u00a0Lord, give us the courage to not only see the sin in our hearts but to repent and change.\u00a0 Thank You for the Cross and the loving way You defend us. \u00a0Help us to recognize that You are not the source of condemnation but of forgiveness and love. \u00a0In Jesus name&#8230; Amen!<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our chapter today was a tough one for me to write.
