{"id":15742,"date":"2013-11-15T01:01:40","date_gmt":"2013-11-15T07:01:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/?p=15742"},"modified":"2013-11-14T16:50:05","modified_gmt":"2013-11-14T22:50:05","slug":"layered-greek-dip","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/2013\/11\/15\/layered-greek-dip\/","title":{"rendered":"Layered Greek Dip"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Layered-Greek-Dip.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-15744\" alt=\"Layered Greek Dip\" src=\"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Layered-Greek-Dip-224x300.jpg\" width=\"224\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Layered-Greek-Dip-224x300.jpg 224w, https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Layered-Greek-Dip-767x1024.jpg 767w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 224px) 100vw, 224px\" \/><\/a>This month I am focusing on side dishes and things you can bring to your Thanksgiving table. \u00a0When my family gets together, we all commit to bringing a piece of the dinner puzzle: \u00a0whichever family member is hosting usually makes the main dish, and the other family members decide on who is going to make dessert, salad, vegetable, and appetizer. \u00a0My sister brought an appetizer called <strong>Layered Greek Dip<\/strong> &#8211; and I was hooked!<\/p>\n<p>This dish is easy to put together and is healthy to boot! \u00a0Assemble it right before your guests come, or make ahead and covered in the fridge until you are ready to serve. \u00a0Offer a variety of dippers: \u00a0I like pita chips, tortilla chips, Triscuits (my favorite cracker of all time!) and veggies like carrot sticks and red pepper slices. \u00a0This will take the edge off people&#8217;s hunger long enough for you to finish up your last-minute dinner duties. \u00a0Offer some white wine with this appetizer and your guests may forget all about the main course!<\/p>\n<p>I should have taken a photo of my sister&#8217;s dish when she \u00a0made it, but it slipped my mind, and before I remembered, we had all smeared it all over the plate and eaten half of it! \u00a0I made it again this morning, so the photo is of a &#8220;personal-sized&#8221; serving. \u00a0And you know what?
