First Things First<\/strong><\/h1>\n

To get us ready for the new study, \u201cA Daughter\u2019s Worth\u201d I was thinking about how we should get started.\u00a0 Where do we jump in?\u00a0 How do we get our feet wet?\u00a0 This is what I came up with after thinking and praying on it all weekend.\u00a0 It\u2019s pretty profound, so don\u2019t miss it\u2026Do the first thing first.\u00a0 Item number 1 has to come before item number 2.\u00a0 I went to the guide book (the Bible) and it told me things like:<\/p>\n

Matthew 6:33<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cBut put God\u2019s kingdom FIRST<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Do what he wants you to do<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Then all of those things will also be given to you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Our family just came off of a wonderful, worshipful weekend that left us making sure we were putting God\u2019s kingdom FIRST and that we are doing what he wants us to do.\u00a0 We sat down with 6 of our 8 daughters and discussed what it means to them to be \u201csaved\u201d, \u201cheld by Jesus\u201d, to \u201cserve\u201d and to \u201chave faith\u201d.\u00a0 The girls gave us some tremendous answers from their own hearts and it made us feel good to know that they all have their Jesus in first place.<\/p>\n

My girls will be joining us on this journey through \u201cA Daughter\u2019s Worth\u201d.<\/p>\n

Some of their concerns were about how to make time for a Bible study<\/p>\n

when they have homework, jobs, soccer, and school functions.<\/p>\n

Those are all very valid concerns.\u00a0 They don\u2019t want to commit and then not be able to do a good job or finish well.<\/p>\n

If we go back up and look at Matthew 6:33 again we will see that IF<\/em><\/strong> we do something, THEN<\/em><\/strong> God will do something.\u00a0 Did you see what that was?\u00a0 We have to put God\u2019s Kingdom FIRST<\/span>, do what He wants us to do AND THEN<\/em><\/strong>, all of those other things will also be given to you.\u00a0 That means that if we give God his time first, we will have time for all the things we want to do as well.\u00a0 This is one of those things that really doesn\u2019t make sense.\u00a0 I like to think of it of a miracle of time.\u00a0 How can adding one more thing to my day give me more time to do the stuff I really want and need to do?\u00a0 I don\u2019t know how God does it, but it works.\u00a0 I think it\u2019s because everything else falls into place when God is first.<\/p>\n

After Jesus is number 1, realize that Christ lives in you.\u00a0 Because Jesus Christ lives in you, HE gives you the strength to do what he wants you to do.\u00a0 That\u2019s where the miracle comes in.\u00a0 You probably won\u2019t see the miracle, but you will see the EFFECTS of the miracle.\u00a0 AND God chose you to work that miracle through.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Galatians 2:20<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \u00a0I have been crucified with Christ.<\/p>\n

    I don\u2019t live any longer. Christ lives in me<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    My faith in the Son of God helps me to live my life in my body.<\/span><\/p>\n

    He loved me.<\/p>\n

    He gave himself for me<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    So I leave you with this thought \u2026\u2026\u2026.\u00a0 It\u2019s pretty profound, too \u2026\u2026.. So don\u2019t miss it either\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

    CHRIST IN YOU IS THE DIFFERENCE MAKER<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Ok, so two profound thoughts in one blog is enough for today.\u00a0 Think about this\u2026#1 and #2 and let\u2019s get ready to give Jesus our time (our most precious gift to Him) because he gave his life (His most precious gift) to us.<\/p>\n

    Let\u2019s Pray:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Dear Heavenly Father, We want to prepare our hearts to place you #1.\u00a0 We want to take the first step of obedience so that you can fulfill your promise to give us all that you want for us.\u00a0 We want to show the world that we no longer live on our own strength, but Christ lives in us and gives us strength to do what you ask us to do.\u00a0 We thank you that our faith in the Son of God helps us live our life in our bodies.\u00a0 Thank you for loving us and for giving your son\u2019s life to save us.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

    We love you Lord.\u00a0 We thank you for filling that God-shaped hole that only you can fill.\u00a0\u00a0 AMEN<\/em><\/p>\n
