My oldest son, Tristan, loves to help make these. He thinks they are delicious, too.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/roasted-pumpkin-seeds.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-15111 aligncenter\" alt=\"roasted pumpkin seeds\" src=\"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/roasted-pumpkin-seeds-300x243.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"243\" srcset=\"https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/roasted-pumpkin-seeds-300x243.jpg 300w, https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/roasted-pumpkin-seeds-100x80.jpg 100w, https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/roasted-pumpkin-seeds.jpg 366w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Items Needed:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pumpkin\/Seeds<\/li>\n<li>Carving Knife<\/li>\n<li>11 x 13 Baking Pan<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd stick of butter<\/li>\n<li>Salt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Heat oven to 350 degrees.<\/li>\n<li>Put\u00a0the butter in the pan, place in oven and let it melt. Remove when melted.<\/li>\n<li>Carve your pumpkin by cutting a circle around the top of the stem. Remove.<\/li>\n<li>Pull out the insides of the pumpkin, making sure you remove all the seeds.<\/li>\n<li>If you wish, carve out a design or <span class=\"GINGER_SOFATWARE_correct\">face<\/span> on your pumpkin and use it for an outdoor decoration. I always like to put a <span class=\"GINGER_SOFATWARE_correct\">tealight<\/span> candle in mine and set it by my front door.<\/li>\n<li>Take the seeds and remove the excess <span class=\"GINGER_SOFATWARE_correct\">guts<\/span>, the orange slimy insides, from the seeds.<\/li>\n<li>Put the seeds in the baking dish, making sure you coat each one with butter by stirring. <span class=\"GINGER_SOFATWARE_correct\">Its<\/span> best to just have one layer of seeds.<\/li>\n<li>Salt the seeds.<\/li>\n<li>Bake in the oven about 30 \u2013 45 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>If you like your seeds extra crispy, you can turn on the broiler, and toast the seeds for about 2 \u2013 3 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Remove from oven.<\/li>\n<li>Let cool.<\/li>\n<li>Enjoy!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is an easy healthy snack that you can make at home that has become one of our family traditions.
