But the steadfast love of the Lord
\nis from everlasting to everlasting\u00a0on those who fear Him,
\nand His righteousness to children’s children,
\nto those who keep His covenant
\nand remember to do His commandments.
\nPsalms 103:17 and 18<\/p>\n

Such a beautiful promise!\u00a0 Perhaps words like these \u2018…to children\u2019s children\u2019\u00a0 particularly impact women\u2019s hearts.\u00a0 Does this promise resonate in your heart like mine?\u00a0 I have one daughter…and by marriage to her…one son!\u00a0 And through their love for one another\u2014four grandchildren!\u00a0 So \u2018children\u2019s children\u2019 yes, that catches my eye…and my heart.\u00a0 I pray every day (just like you!) for the Lord\u2019s love and His righteousness and His blessings to be upon my children and grandchildren.\u00a0 That they would always be under His protection and receiving His provision is very important to me.\u00a0 So as I read this promise, I pray, \u2018Please, Lord!\u00a0 By Your grace, Lord!\u2019<\/p>\n

But whether you have children or not, the promise of His steadfast love is from everlasting to everlasting <FOREVER!>\u00a0to every one who has the fear of the Lord.\u00a0 We play a part in these promises coming to pass, y\u2019know.\u00a0 Many, many, many\u00a0of God\u2019s promises have a stipulation attached.\u00a0 God\u2019s people have something to do to receive the promises that He makes to them.\u00a0 It is kind of like when I promise my grandchildren, “Okay now, when the playroom is cleaned up we are going to the library.”\u00a0 I have promised…but they have something to do, too.<\/p>\n

According to these verses, the steadfast, everlasting love of our Lord is on those who fear Him<\/em> <\/strong>(so that\u2019s one thing we need to do).\u00a0 And His righteousness carries over to our children\u2019s children who obey His commandments<\/em> <\/strong>(another thing we have the responsibility to do).<\/p>\n

God\u2019s heart to bless and care for His people\u2019s lives is incredible!\u00a0 He always wants to do good for those who love Him.\u00a0 And He is faithful!<\/p>\n

And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
\nRomans 8:28<\/p>\n

Do you remember the message that Moses gave to the Israelites after delivering God\u2019s Ten Commandments \u00a0to them?\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0(Deuteronomy 5 and 6)<\/a><\/p>\n

These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts.
\nImpress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home
\nand when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
\nTie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.
\nWrite them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.
\nDeuteronomy 6:6-9<\/p>\n

So we teach all the children in our lives about loving God with their whole heart, soul, mind, and all their strength.\u00a0 We help them to grow in their understanding of how great<\/strong> our God is, and to have a worshipful fear<\/strong> of His AWEsomeness.\u00a0 We impress upon them the right way to \u2018walk\u2019 with God, and to love everyone around them.\u00a0 We teach them about Jesus and all that God has made available through Him and how they, too, can make Him Lord of their lives.\u00a0 And we\u2014they and<\/em> we\u2014will be blessed with the promises of God!<\/p>\n

Dear Lord, oh how much comfort it brings to our hearts to know of Your promises…not only to us but to our loved ones!\u00a0 You are so very good to us!\u00a0\u00a0 We trust and have confidence knowing that You are faithful to do what You say You are going to do; please help us to remember we have our part to do also.\u00a0 Our desire is to obey You, trust You, have godly fear…and love You.\u00a0 In Jesus\u2019 name.\u00a0 Amen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
