{"id":14416,"date":"2013-09-04T01:00:58","date_gmt":"2013-09-04T06:00:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/?p=14416"},"modified":"2013-09-02T10:39:38","modified_gmt":"2013-09-02T15:39:38","slug":"magnify-lord","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/2013\/09\/04\/magnify-lord\/","title":{"rendered":"Magnify the Lord With Me!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/SeekingHimLogo.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-13840\" alt=\"SeekingHimLogo\" src=\"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/SeekingHimLogo.jpg\" width=\"560\" height=\"280\" srcset=\"https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/SeekingHimLogo.jpg 560w, https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/SeekingHimLogo-300x150.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 560px) 100vw, 560px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.<br \/>\nMy life makes its boast in the Lord; let the humble and afflicted hear and be glad.<br \/>\nO magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.<br \/>\nPsalms 34:1-3<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Don\u2019t you just l-o-v-e to praise God and share with others about how AWEsome He is?!!?\u00a0 We have a great privilege, my friends!\u00a0 It is our honor to bless the Lord&#8230;to speak well of Him&#8230;to praise Him&#8230;to boast of Him&#8230;to magnify the Lord&#8230;to exalt His Holy name together with others.\u00a0 So many, many ways to do this!\u00a0\u00a0 For example, we can:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>call someone on the phone and say, \u2018Praise God!\u00a0 Listen to what He just did in my life!\u2019<\/li>\n<li>text (not while driving though!) a friend telling them about His grace towards you<\/li>\n<li>smile at a stranger in the grocery store and say, \u2018Look at the abundance of all these wonderful vegetables that God has blessed us with!\u2019<\/li>\n<li>look across the supper table to our loved ones and remind\u00a0them of just how very GOOD God has been to your family<\/li>\n<li>echo a praise that a friend has just posted on their FaceBook page<\/li>\n<li>dance with a child singing, \u2018God is so good&#8230;He\u2019s so good to me!\u2019<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There is much \u2018unity of the Spirit\u2019 in praising His Name together.\u00a0 Magnifying God and speaking well of Him crosses all of the silly denominational boundaries that exist.\u00a0 As the Apostle Paul admonished,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.<br \/>\nThere is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called<br \/>\nto one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism;<br \/>\none God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.<br \/>\nEphesians 4:3-6<\/p>\n<p>We have oh-so-very-much to be thankful for!\u00a0 We know we should \u2018in everything give thanks; for this is God\u2019s will for you in Christ Jesus\u2019 (1 Thessalonians 5:18).\u00a0 Let\u2019s determine today that we will bless the Lord&#8230;speak well of Him&#8230;praise Him&#8230;boast of Him&#8230;magnify the Lord&#8230;exalt His Name together with others.\u00a0 Can you only imagine how that will bless Him?!?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Instead, be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit.\u00a0 Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.<br \/>\nEphesians 5:18-20<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful.\u00a0 Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, *singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.\u00a0*<br \/>\nColossians 3:15 and 16<\/p>\n<p>(*One version translates this as \u2018making melody to God with His grace in your hearts!\u2019)<\/p>\n<p>Our lives are filled with the grace and mercy and goodness of our Great God!\u00a0 As the psalmist wrote here in Psalm 34, \u2018I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.\u2019\u00a0 May I encourage you&#8230;me&#8230;us to try to be so very aware of His blessings that our praises are bubbling up out of our grateful hearts through our thankful lips boasting of our wonderful Father!\u00a0 Together may we magnify and glorify the Great I AM! &lt;3<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">* * * * *<\/p>\n<p>Dear Lord, may You always receive the praise, the honor, the glory, the gratitude and the thankfulness that You deserve!\u00a0 You are <em>so<\/em>, <strong><em>so<\/em><\/strong>, <em><strong>SO<\/strong><\/em> GOOD to us!\u00a0 We praise You and thank You for Your grace and mercy in Jesus\u2019 precious name.\u00a0 Amen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
