In my opinion, there are three reasons why people quit so quickly.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>They attempt too much too fast.<\/li>\n<li>Their schedule cannot handle that big of a change.<\/li>\n<li>They are not patient and want to see quick results.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>When it all becomes overwhelming without seeing the desired results, they throw in the towel.\u00a0 To stick to an Exercise Program past the first six weeks, you have to progress slowly and be patient.<\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">HOW IS YOUR PATIENCE?<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Patience. Who really likes that word?\u00a0 I have to be honest; patience is not my best attribute.\u00a0 When things are not going my way, my natural tendency is to become aggravated and quit.\u00a0 However, when I think about the qualities of Jesus, I can\u2019t help but think about how patient He is with me.\u00a0 Where would I be if Jesus gave up on me so quickly?\u00a0 He believes in me and knows what I can accomplish through Him.\u00a0 Despite my weakness and failures, He <em>never<\/em> gives up on me.<\/p>\n<p><b>What if you had the same patience with yourself that Christ has with you<\/b>?\u00a0 What could you accomplish? Could having patience with yourself be a way for you to stick to an exercise program and make it a habit? What would happen if you did not give up so quickly?<\/p>\n<p><b>Galatians 6:9 says<\/b><b>: <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>\u201c<i>Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.\u201d<\/i><\/b><b><i> <\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><i>\u00a0<\/i><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">I WANT IT NOW<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>I definitely like living in a world where we can get almost anything, quickly.\u00a0 When I\u00a0 make up my mind that I want something my philosophy is \u201cwhy drag out the process.\u201d I have even said this to God when praying for certain things in my life. \u00a0\ud83d\ude42\u00a0 Thankfully, He knew that I needed to progress slowly and not add too much to my plate at one time.\u00a0 There were things He needed to teach me that would take time.\u00a0 He knows every time how much I can handle at each stage of my life.<\/p>\n<p>It is the same with exercise.\u00a0 Killing yourself trying to get quick results is not the way to develop healthy habits that will lead to a consistent exercise program. \u00a0A new program must be designed with the right program at this stage of your life.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t give up on yourself.\u00a0 Results happen when you are consistent.\u00a0 When you decide to <b>be patient and progress slowly<\/b>, you will find it is easier to stick to an exercise program.<\/p>\n<p><em>In Good Health,<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Crystal<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Why does it happen every year? \u00a0Those New Year \u201cResolutioners\u201d who start a new exercise regiment only to quit before spring arrives. \u00a0Research shows 60% of people who start an exercise program drop out within the first 6 months or even less.
