Complete<\/strong><\/em>!\u00a0 Could that really<\/em> be true?!?\u00a0 For years I struggled, truly suffered, being tempted by the enemy of our souls to doubt the truth and veracity of this fact: I, Coleen Ann Brigit Hayden, AM complete in Him!\u00a0 I AM!\u00a0 (And you, my friend, you are complete in Him, too!) \u2018How do you\u00a0 know<\/span> that?\u2019 you ask?\u00a0 The Bible tells me so!<\/p>\n

\n

For in Christ the fullness of God lives in a human body,
\nand you are complete through your union with Christ.
\nColossians 2:9 and 10<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The word complete<\/em><\/strong> communicates that the thing which is complete has no lack or deficiency<\/strong>.\u00a0 So if we are complete through our union or relationship with\u00a0Christ then there is no lack or deficiency in all that comes through that relationship. \u00a0It is enough<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 We are fully, perfectly, completely equipped.\u00a0 \u2018With what?\u2019 you ask?\u00a0 Well,\u00a0a couple of days ago in our lesson, Teresa gave us\u00a0a beautiful graphic which contains the essence of what I am saying.\u00a0 It presented \u2018character traits\u2019 that became ours when we were born-again, or had our spiritual new birth.\u00a0 Among other things, it said we are:<\/p>\n

  • Chosen –<\/strong> 1 Peter 1:2<\/li>\n
  • Forgiven –<\/strong>\u00a0 Colossians 2:13<\/li>\n
  • Free<\/strong>\u00a0– Galatians 5:1<\/li>\n
  • Justified<\/strong>\u00a0– 1 Corinthians 6:11<\/li>\n
  • Redeemed –<\/strong> Ephesians 1:7<\/li>\n
  • Righteous<\/strong>\u00a0– Romans 5:9<\/li>\n
  • Sanctified<\/strong>\u00a0– 1 Corinthians 1:30<\/li>\n
  • Sealed<\/strong>\u00a0– Ephesians 1:13<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    It is ONLY through our relationship or union with Jesus that we are complete\u2014there is nothing,\u00a0 absolutely nothing<\/em>, that we can do by ourselves that will make us complete.\u00a0 Remember who and what we were…<\/p>\n

    And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience\u2014among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. But God, being rich in mercy<\/strong>, because of the great love with which he loved us<\/strong>, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ\u2014by grace you have been saved\u2014and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us<\/strong> in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith<\/strong>. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God<\/strong>, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.<\/p>\n

    Ephesians 2:1-8<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

    Doesn\u2019t that just melt your heart AND revive your heart all at the same time!?!\u00a0 Read through those verses again, and pick out your very favorite phrase and praise our Great I AM through it!\u00a0 (I would LOVE to hear which phrase hits your heart the most…and why!)<\/p>\n

    • God being rich in mercy<\/li>\n
    • By grace you have been saved through faith<\/li>\n
    • Because of the great love with which He loved us<\/li>\n
    • Might show the immeasurable riches of His grace in kindness towards us<\/li>\n
    • It is the gift of God<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      This\u2014His love, His grace, His mercy, His gift, His riches\u2014is what gives us the opportunity for a relationship or union with Jesus!\u00a0 How GREAT is our God<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

      \n

      For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight.\u00a0 In love He predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will\u2014to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the One He loves.
      \nEphesians 1:4-6<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

      Hold this truth in your mind and never doubt that you are completely<\/em>, completely<\/em><\/strong>, completely<\/em><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 COMPLETE<\/strong> through your union with Jesus\u2014He is your Lord!<\/p>\n
