But let\u2019s be honest, exercise may not always be an appointment that is important enough to keep.\u00a0 Before you can actually stick to your program, <b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">it has to become a priority<\/span>. <\/b><\/p>\n<p>As we move halfway through our top list, this is where the rubber meets the road. Have you ever said, \u201cExercise is important to me, but I just can\u2019t find the time.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0 <b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The truth is where you spend your time demonstrates what is important to you<\/span>.<\/b>\u00a0 If you want to really know what is important to you, look at <em>where<\/em> and <em>how<\/em> you spend your time each day.<\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Does My Time Equal My Priorities?<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>There are times in my life when things get so hectic, I have to stop and evaluate if I am putting my time toward what I say is a priority to me.<\/p>\n<p>Am I being truthful if I say God is important to me, yet do not take time each day to spend quiet time with Him?\u00a0 Can I say my husband is a priority, yet, our only spoken words each day are good morning and good night?\u00a0 What if I never spent quality time with my children just to play and talk?\u00a0 What would they benefit from me as a mother? And can I honestly say, my health is important, yet never take at least 30 minutes for myself to get in a little exercise.<\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Determine Your Priorities?<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Here is a little challenge that takes courage.\u00a0 Spend a few minutes and make a list of the top five most important things to you.\u00a0 Now make another list of how you spend your time from the moment you wake up until you go to bed.\u00a0 Don\u2019t forget things like checking email and Facebook, watching the news and favorite TV show, or talking on the phone.\u00a0 All of which can be beneficial, educational and\/or helpful, but do they support your priorities and <em>are you using your time wisely<\/em>?<\/p>\n<p>The Bible gives us guidance on how to use our time in <strong>Ephesians 5:15-16<\/strong>: <b><i><sup>\u201c<\/sup><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise,<\/span><\/i><\/b><b><i><span style=\"color: #008000;\"> <sup>\u00a0<\/sup>making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.\u201d<\/span> <\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>If you are ready to make yourself a priority, be wise with your time and eliminate or alter those things that are unnecessary at this time in your life.\u00a0 You may discover you have an extra 20-30 minutes to design a program that you can stick with and actually fits your lifestyle.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/5.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-13783 alignnone\" alt=\"#5\" src=\"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/5-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><b>Number 5 on our list of ways to stick to an exercise program: <\/b><\/p>\n<h2 align=\"center\"><em><b>MAKE IT A PRIORITY<\/b><\/em><\/h2>\n<p align=\"center\"><b>Is it for you?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>In Good Health,<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Crystal<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last week, I suggested scheduling your workout and putting it on the calendar as one of the ways to stick to an exercise program.
