{"id":13209,"date":"2013-07-17T01:00:45","date_gmt":"2013-07-17T05:00:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/?p=13209"},"modified":"2013-07-16T23:58:51","modified_gmt":"2013-07-17T03:58:51","slug":"ten-ways-to-stick-to-an-exercise-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/2013\/07\/17\/ten-ways-to-stick-to-an-exercise-program\/","title":{"rendered":"10 Ways to Stick to an Exercise Program &#8211;  #1 The Right Support"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Over the next few weeks, I want to share with you the\u00a0<strong>top ten\u00a0strategies<\/strong> that\u00a0I personally\u00a0believe it takes to stick with an exercise program.\u00a0 Each week, I will have a\u00a0basic strategy\u00a0for you to\u00a0implement into your program.\u00a0 Some may not be new.\u00a0\u00a0However, there may be a new way of thinking about\u00a0it which can lead to\u00a0consistency in your exercise program, even if you are a busy woman.<\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">STEP 1- THE RIGHT SUPPORTER<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>When designing an exercise program for a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.yourfitnessdesigner.com\/Services.html\">busy woman<\/a>, I find that consistency can be the biggest challenge.\u00a0 That is why one of my top ten ways to stick to an exercise program is to <em>find a friend<\/em> who can be that support <em>and accountability partner<\/em>. Having someone to give encouragement can contribute greatly to the success of a program.<\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">DO YOU HAVE THE RIGHT SUPPORT?<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>It is easy to give up if you do not have the support of your spouse, children, or best friend.\u00a0 Sometimes, they may even be the one, who tries to sabotage your success. If you have found that to be the case for you, find someone else who will be supportive.\u00a0 The right supporter and true friend will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Believe in you with encouragement and motivation<\/li>\n<li>Look to your interest and not their own<\/li>\n<li>Share your same goals and values, maybe even become an exercise partner to meet for accountability<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>1 Thessalonians 5:11 describes the type of friend we should have.<\/h3>\n<h3><i>\u201cTherefore encourage one another and build one another up.\u201d<\/i><\/h3>\n<p><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">ARE YOU DOING IT ALONE?<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>We, as women, cannot do it alone.\u00a0 I was once guilty of being so busy with life that I neglected my friendships.\u00a0 There was a time I thought is was ok to just have acquaintances and I did not have time to invest in meaningful friendships.
