I always ask myself how I can apply the Old Testament lessons and the Old Testament God to my life today.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>\u00a0<\/b><b>Malachi 3:6 (NKJV)<\/b><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><b><i>For I\u00a0am\u00a0the\u00a0Lord, I do not change;<br \/>\nTherefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Well, there it is!\u00a0\u00a0 There\u2019s the answer to my question. <em><strong>He does not change.<\/strong><\/em> The Old Testament God is the same as the New Testament God who is the same as the God of today.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s easy enough to understand but sometimes (well, a\u00a0LOT of times) I need to be reminded who the <strong>I Am<\/strong> is, and I need to be reminded that God <span class=\"GINGER_SOFATWARE_correct\">is<\/span> the same yesterday, today, and forever.\u00a0 I need to be reminded of this not because there is a lack of His beautiful creations around me, and not because I don\u2019t see His blessings every time I look into the eyes of my children. \u00a0I am grateful for these reminders because it is so easy to become caught up in the goings-on of the day, and in the busyness of the day that I begin to lean on myself rather than rely on God. Days when He seems far away.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/IAM..jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-13123\" alt=\"IAM.\" src=\"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/IAM..jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"185\" srcset=\"https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/IAM..jpg 500w, https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/IAM.-300x111.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>When I looked at the verses listed today I saw where I can use them each day. \u00a0I was reminded who the <strong>I Am<\/strong> of the Old Testament is. \u00a0I love how there is a starting point to go back to when it seems as if He is so far away. \u00a0The statements listed below are only a few of the reminders He gives us:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b style=\"font-size: 13px;\">I Am the Lord your God, I do not change.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i>Never<\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>I Am who I Am.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i>God is God and always will be<\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>I Am the Lord in the midst of the land.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i>Our lands, <span class=\"GINGER_SOFATWARE_correct\">homes, work<\/span>, even the grocery store<\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>I Am the Lord who heals you.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i>Headaches, sore throats, emotional pain, our loved ones. Anything and everything.<\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>I the Lord your God am a jealous God.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i>He wants to be Number 1<\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>I Am gracious.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i>His grace and mercies are new each day<\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>I Am the Lord who sanctifies you.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i>Forgiveness and redemption<\/i><\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause God is creative, organized and thorough, He has given us markers and clues as we read His Word.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0These markers and clues are reminders of who He is, reminders of how much He loves us, reminders of who we are within who He is.<\/p>\n<p>This week my personal goal&#8212;a goal that I invite everyone to join me in&#8212;is to pay attention to the <strong>I Am<\/strong> statements within the Old Testament. Let&#8217;s\u00a0highlight, underline,\u00a0write on note cards the <strong>I Am<\/strong> statements that we find, and then begin to better understand who He is. I want to go back to the beginning and be reminded of the <strong>I Am<\/strong> of the Old Testament.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">*****<\/p>\n<p><strong>Let\u2019s Pray:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for reminding us of who You are. \u00a0Like a parent who reminds their child throughout the day, You remind us of who You are and of Your love for us.
