To be honest, I purposely made things simple for me that day so I could enjoy that time.\u00a0 Instead of going to the gym or killing myself with a work out, I had enjoyed a long walk at home. \u00a0Instead of killing myself in the kitchen, I prepared a simple and healthy meal in the CrockPot for our evening dinner. \u00a0Instead of thinking I had to work extra hours for my job or it would never get done, I gave my timeline to God; and instead of thinking I had to plan every minute of the day to entertain my kids, I realized they truly love \u201cjust playing\u201d outside.<\/p>\n<p><b>What I realized is this:\u00a0 when I focus on the basics&#8212;the simple things of life&#8212;I\u2019m able to enjoy what really matters.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>As a <a href=\"http:\/\/yourfitnessdesigner.com\/\">Fitness and Food Designer for Busy women<\/a>, I have seen many women who are chasing so many different things that it keeps them from <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">enjoying the basic things of life and ultimately keeps them from living a healthy life physically, mentally and spiritually.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Has life become so busy for you that you are no longer focusing on what really matters? Has your lack of time for \u201cbusy work\u201d become an excuse to not exercise?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>\u00a0<\/b>Could it be that you are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Trying to please other people<b> <\/b>instead of looking to please God which <b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">can keep you from feeling confident in who you really are in Christ.<\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<li>Trying to be something you are not instead of learning what God created you to be which <b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">can keep you constantly busy, yet never feeling successful. <\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<li>Attempting to do too many things at once<b> <\/b>instead of giving attention to one thing and left <b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">feeling exhausted with no energy for yourself, family or career.<\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<li>Focusing on succeeding in things that are really not important so\u00a0that <b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">you feel like you are failing over and over, \u00a0or are not good enough<\/span><\/b>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I love what Francis Chan says in the book <a href=\"http:\/\/crazylovebook.com\/\">Crazy Love<\/a>, <b>\u201cOur fear should not be of\u00a0<em>failure<\/em>, but at succeeding in things in life that really don\u2019t matter.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n<p>These are things that can keep you so busy that you are unable to enjoy what really matters.
