It was the week before I went back to work from maternity leave for my second child Zach.\u00a0 We were\u00a0now a family of four and I remembered all of the words of friends and family who said, \u201cTwo kids changes it up.\u201d\u00a0 Life is different when you go from one child to two. \u00a0How would I have time for fitness, physically and spiritually?<\/p>\n<p>As I sat there, I began to realize all of the things on my plate, not my breakfast plate, but my plate of life.\u00a0 I did a quick check list:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full time job<\/li>\n<li>New business<\/li>\n<li>Volunteer work at church<\/li>\n<li>New schedule with Hannah (my daughter) starting Kindergarten<\/li>\n<li>New baby<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/IMG_0726.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-12013 aligncenter\" alt=\"IMG_0726\" src=\"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/IMG_0726-150x150.jpg\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/IMG_0726-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/IMG_0726-90x90.jpg 90w, https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/IMG_0726-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Adding to all of that was my continued desire to have daily quality time with God, my husband, children, and exercise. They were all important to me, but were overwhelming and seemed impossible. It was\u00a0then that\u00a0I realized there were things I would have to take off my plate and let go of, if I truly wanted to focus on things that were important to me. As I thought about where my time went each day, I realized it was not all toward my priorities or really necessary. I knew I would have to make a few changes.<\/p>\n<p>Such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Saying \u201cyes\u201d to things before thinking it through<\/li>\n<li>Having my house perfectly cleaned and organized at the end of each day<\/li>\n<li>Working hard to make sure everything goes according to MY plan (that can <em>really<\/em> take up a lot of time)<\/li>\n<li>Giving up a favorite TV show<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A couple of weeks ago, I talked about making exercise a priority.\u00a0 Do you feel like you had good intentions of making it a priority, but still struggle to find the time to actually do it? \u00a0If so, it may be time to ask yourself two questions.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\u00a0Is my time prioritized each day around what is important to me?<b><\/b><\/li>\n<li>Are there things I need to give up or add to focus on my priorities?<b><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Improving our fitness and having a daily quiet time will not just happen. We have to be intentional with our time and sometimes that means giving up what may not be that important in the big scheme of things, certain responsibilities, or our own selfish desires.\u00a0 God has shown me that, if I give my time to Him, He will help me find time for what is important, even now as a busy woman with a family of four.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/family-tball.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-12010 aligncenter\" alt=\"family tball\" src=\"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/family-tball-150x150.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/family-tball-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/family-tball-90x90.jpg 90w, https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/family-tball-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Finding time for your physical and spiritual fitness has to be intentional and usually comes\u00a0about by\u00a0making a few changes.
