{"id":11981,"date":"2013-05-22T01:00:01","date_gmt":"2013-05-22T05:00:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/?p=11981"},"modified":"2013-05-22T11:21:59","modified_gmt":"2013-05-22T15:21:59","slug":"an-exercise-program-that-gets-results","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/2013\/05\/22\/an-exercise-program-that-gets-results\/","title":{"rendered":"An Exercise Plan that Gets Results"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/AskCrystal.jpg.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12069\" alt=\"AskCrystal.jpg\" src=\"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/AskCrystal.jpg.jpg\" width=\"450\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/AskCrystal.jpg.jpg 450w, https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/AskCrystal.jpg-300x150.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Last week, I talked about\u00a0finding\u00a0the right motivation when starting an exercise program.\u00a0 But let&#8217;s be honest, we still want an exercise plan that gets results, either physically or mentally.\u00a0 It can be easy to quit\u00a0if you feel defeated\u00a0and it is important you follow a program that is right for you.\u00a0 Everyone has different goals, schedules, and fitness levels.\u00a0\u00a0 Once you have\u00a0established your\u00a0<b>motivation<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0made exercise a <strong>priority<\/strong>, it is\u00a0 time to\u00a0<b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">develop an exercise plan that gets results<\/span><\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Establish the following for your program:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b>Type: <\/b>Choose the right type of exercise (walking, jogging, yoga, strength training, Zumba, step class, etc.) to meet YOUR goals whether it is to gain energy or\u00a0strength,\u00a0maintain a healthy weight or increase flexibility. \u00a0Find something that you actually enjoy and determine if it is\u00a0appropriate for your fitness level and physical limitations.<\/p>\n<p><b>Intensity: <\/b>\u00a0Determine how hard you will work\u00a0and\u00a0include the appropriate working heart rate. As a certified instructor with American Council of Exercise, I guide my clients with the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.acefitness.org\/acefit\/healthy_living_tools_content.aspx?id=7\"> following heart rate zones <\/a>when designing a fitness program.<\/p>\n<p><b>Duration:<\/b> Set the appropriate length of time for your workout.\u00a0Do you need\u00a020, 30, or 60 minutes to achieve your desired results?<\/p>\n<p><b>Frequency:<\/b> Decide how many days a week are\u00a0needed and what\u00a0you can commit to give.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Proverbs 21:5<\/strong> says, &#8220;T<em>he <strong>plans<\/strong> of the diligent lead surely to the advantage, but everyone who is hasty comes surely to poverty.<\/em>&#8220;<em> <\/em>At the beginning of the week, take a few minutes with your weekly calendar and pencil in your exercise for the week.\u00a0 Be sure to include the type, intensity, duration, and frequency.\u00a0 With a plan and\u00a0a goal, \u00a0you are less likely to quit a few minutes into it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Proverbs 16:3 <\/strong>says, <em>&#8220;Commit to the Lord whatever you do;
