Part 3 \u2013 ARMED<\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0It\u2019s time to break camp, Warriors!\u00a0 We have been called. We have been trained.\u00a0 We have been forged into a weapon to be used against the forces of darkness.\u00a0 We are \u201cministers of hope whose words are seasoned with salt and light and sound foreign in a world peppered with darkness\u201d<\/strong> (Bevere, p. 121).\u00a0 How is it that we have these sword imageries and our weapon is one of \u2018words<\/span>\u2019<\/span><\/strong>?\u00a0 Have you ever stopped to think that the words<\/span> coming from your mouth directly reflect the heart inside your body?\u00a0 That is pretty powerful stuff.<\/p>\n

Lisa tells us that \u201cwords are invisible, but if misused, they can prove deadly.\u201d\u00a0<\/strong> Have you killed someone with your words<\/span>?\u00a0 Have you left walking wounded?\u00a0 It\u2019s time we thought about this for a little while, take stock in our words and let the Holy Spirit reveal areas of our speech we need to work on.\u00a0 Take time to do that now.<\/p>\n

(pause<\/span><\/em>)<\/p>\n

My Bible tells me that we were all created with one language in the beginning.\u00a0 We spoke the same language as God, the Father<\/em>.\u00a0 We knew His voice.\u00a0\u00a0 We could recognize Him as He walked with us in the garden.\u00a0 I like to think God whistled as He walked in the cool of the day, asking Adam and Eve how their day had been.\u00a0 I say \u201cwe\u201d because we are descended from Adam and Eve\u2026<\/span>and God the Father.\u00a0 We are here, now, because of them\u2026<\/span>back there.\u00a0 “God has given us His language\u2026 He has framed the words in strength and carefully structured each sentence so that every syllable is woven with power and punctuated by promise<\/span>.”\u00a0<\/strong> (p. 122).<\/p>\n

I think that makes our words<\/span> pretty powerful!\u00a0 They are the words<\/span> of our Father, they are powerful, and we should be sharing them with the world.\u00a0 How will we know what to say?\u00a0 Where will we find the answers to our questions???\u00a0 2 Timothy 3:16-17 tells us:<\/p>\n

\u201cAll Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives.\u00a0 It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.\u00a0 God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

You have been forged as a SWORD.\u00a0 Are you ARMED???<\/p>\n

I was asked these questions last week, \u201cIf the Bible is my guide book to life does that mean I should follow all the ideals set forth?\u00a0 Do I pick and choose which ones I like and which ones I don\u2019t?\u00a0 If I do have to follow all of them, how do you translate those stories to apply to modern day living?\u201d\u00a0 So many good questions from one seeking person.\u00a0 After our basic training, and now our warrior training, how would YOU answer these questions<\/b>?<\/p>\n

Lisa poses an interesting point:\u00a0 If we knew we were going to live out the rest of our days<\/span> in a foreign country we would take the time to learn the language and the culture and learn to communicate.\u00a0 As born-again believers, we KNOW we are going to live out our days in heaven with our spiritual family.\u00a0 We need to be learning how to communicate.\u00a0 Our Father speaks a heavenly and holy language.\u00a0 We need to learn heaven\u2019s language NOW.\u00a0 \u201cWe lift swords when we lift His Word:<\/strong>\u00a0 ‘Death and life are in the power of the tongue’ (Proverbs 18:21)\u201d<\/span> (p. 123).<\/p>\n

So let\u2019s go back and apply <\/strong>what we have learned in our training.\u00a0 Let\u2019s use the language we are learning to shine a light for<\/span> a lost soul.\u00a0 Give me some Sword Words<\/span> <\/em>to support your answers to this person\u2019s questions<\/span>.<\/p>\n

    This language may seem foreign to you right now.\u00a0 Or it may come naturally and you have suppressed the sound of the Father\u2019s voice.\u00a0 Either way, let\u2019s put our hearts together and help this brother out with his questions.\u00a0 I would like to see how you WARRIORs put your SWORD to use.\u00a0 Are you ARMED?\u00a0 We need to light the path, ladies!!!<\/p>\n
