But, then I saw this next idea<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">, <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">and I got excited!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m so excited to show you this next project!\u00a0 When I first saw it on\u00a0<em>Pinterest<\/em>, I thought \u201cNO WAY\u2026.<span style=\"color: #008000;\"><em><strong>Painted<\/strong><\/em><\/span> Mason Jars??\u201d\u00a0 But oh my goodness, just wait until you see just how beautiful this project turns out!<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em><strong>So let\u2019s get to work!<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Here is what you will need for this project: \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Jar-Paint_Ingredients.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-11297\" alt=\"Jar Paint_Ingredients\" src=\"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Jar-Paint_Ingredients-1024x965.jpg\" width=\"393\" height=\"370\" srcset=\"https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Jar-Paint_Ingredients-1024x965.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Jar-Paint_Ingredients-300x282.jpg 300w, https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Jar-Paint_Ingredients.jpg 1949w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 393px) 100vw, 393px\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1 clear glass Mason Jar<\/p>\n<p>\u00bd cup of Elmer\u2019s Glue<\/p>\n<p>5 -10 drops of your favorite food coloring (depending on how dark you want the color)<\/p>\n<p>1-inch paint brush<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Jar-Paint_Step-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-11293\" alt=\"Jar Paint_Step 1\" src=\"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Jar-Paint_Step-1-300x168.jpg\" width=\"375\" height=\"250\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Stir the glue and food coloring together until well blended.\u00a0 Grab your favorite 1-inch paint brush and then start painting the glue onto the jar.\u00a0 After the whole jar is covered, set the jar aside and allow drying, and then watch what happens! \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em><br \/>\n<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">The fun part of this project is that you are not limited to just one color!\u00a0 Once the jar has dried with the first color, mix up more \u201cpaint\u201d using a different food color.\u00a0 Using a smaller brush, you can take this 2<\/span><sup style=\"line-height: 19px;\">nd<\/sup><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\"> color and draw all kinds of squiggly lines, or geometric designs, or circles, or whatever you want onto the jar.\u00a0 Once again, after you\u2019ve painted the jar, set aside to allow drying.\u00a0 If you want to add a 3<\/span><sup style=\"line-height: 19px;\">rd<\/sup><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\"> color\u2026you know what to do now!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Then to finalize this project, find some amazingly beautiful flowers and <em>viola<\/em>\u2026you have a perfect homemade vase to hold your beautiful flowers\u2026or whatever else you want to use these jars for.\u00a0 I love the flowers because, well, <em>I just love fresh flowers<\/em>, and the jars and flowers together make for a beautiful centerpiece.\u00a0 If you want, you can use three different jar sizes\u2026make them all different colors and then use as a centerpiece on your table!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Jar-Paint_AFTER.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-11294\" alt=\"Jar Paint_AFTER\" src=\"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Jar-Paint_AFTER.jpg\" width=\"568\" height=\"402\" srcset=\"https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Jar-Paint_AFTER.jpg 710w, https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Jar-Paint_AFTER-300x212.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 568px) 100vw, 568px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">Now that you know what you can do with JARS, don&#8217;t throw away your old jars. \u00a0Save those mayonnaise or pickle jars, and turn them into something beautiful. \u00a0I&#8217;m sure a friend would love to receive one of these amazingly beautiful jars filled with flowers or candy, or &#8230; or &#8230; or. \u00a0The possibilities are endless!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>If you have been following my blog for any length of time, you know that\u00a0I like projects that are simple!\u00a0 You can\u2019t get much simpler than this for a beautiful set of jars or a centerpiece!<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019d love to see YOUR projects!\u00a0 You can email your pictures to me at <a href=\"mailto:Christi@girlfriendscoffeehour.com\">Christi@girlfriendscoffeehour.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\">Happy Painting!<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Christi<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">_________________________<\/p>\n<p><strong>*Cleaning Tip 1:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0Wash your brush out with water as soon as you are finished painting your jar.<\/p>\n<p>**<strong>Cleaning Tip 2:<\/strong>\u00a0As your jars are drying, you will see some of the glue slide down the jar, onto the countertop or whatever you are placing the jars on to dry. \u00a0<em><strong>USE PAPER TOWELS TO WIPE THIS UP<\/strong><\/em>. \u00a0Otherwise, whatever you use will get stained with the food coloring. \u00a0(Don&#8217;t ask me how I know this!!)\u00a0\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I LOVE Mason Jars\u2026.there I said it!\u00a0 It\u2019s off my chest now!
